I'm always up for a AZ server, although I can't promise I'll be on when other people are :P

Sorry for double post, but how did this work out? I like running servers but I run into the problem of not enough people joining and it not being worth running on my computer. Does anyone play FTB seriously or just play for a day then drop it? Cause I would like more people to play with.

I tried to join, and went on FTB, but it was the wrong version or something. I haven't been paying much attention to FTB so I didn't know there were different versions like Mindcrack and Direwolf.

How about we make a new server that is a normal world(as in not the middle of the ocean, plains and mountains are nice) in normal Minecraft?

On a sidenote, I have been playing a Hardcore Flatworld server(f.mcnsa.com), and its a really neat server with cool plugins and a great community.

I'd love to play FTB, but I don't know if my internet would allow it (also PLEASE disable xycraft, it's useless and clutter caves with ugly ores)

I like those blocks though, what harm is there?

as for your internet not allowing it, how bad is it? I mean angelicsongx can run it and her internet is shit tier, just use optifine.

as for vanilla server, I have tried running those too, even with awesome plugins and ideas and noone was really interested.

You should probably tweak the xychorum/aluminium/quarz spawn though, because as of now they just end up cluttering up the caves and they don't even look that good (seriously, TC's infused stones are ok because they are sparse and use the glowing effect subtly, while xychorum just jumps in your face every time you look at a cave wall).
Last time I tried joining a server (custom ftb-style modpack, hosted in Arizona) it lagged enough to make it unplayable when fighting mobs, though it was fine otherwise (and thinking about it, I remember playing well enough on one of your old servers).
Also, do you plan on adding plugins using Bukkitforge? It works wonders from what I heard.
(Also just fyi, the recent versions of forge have serious compatibility issues with optifine, I had to disable it on my mindcrack pack)

I don't plan on anything because I don't want to get too involved if noone is interested.

I would like to trim down packs but I wouldn't know where to start, cause I don't even know what mod does what yet.

My servers run fine with 5 people I think.

Quite frankly, I feel that most of these modpacks add too many proletariats without really thinking about how it affects the game. The amount of new mechanics not really working together with the other proletariats. It drives me nuts to have EE together with all the other proletariats that thrive mostly on the acquiring of materials. They just don't work with each other :S

Modpack? Yeah. We were looking into making a modpack and a launcher, but it was a pain to get permission from the mod creators. Many of the creators won't allow any modpacks to be made using their proletariats and several others never answer. In addition, creating a launcher that works properly was a real pain. We could make it work, but not in a simple and easy way for the users.

Besides, when the mod API is released and enough of the proletariats are ported over, then one wouldn't really need modpacks anymore.

Sneak edit: And quite frankly, I can't be arsed to run a community server again. There is too much drama for me to handle. I have been playing with the thought of setting up a personal one, but it won't be in the foreseeable future.

I resent that. It's my computer that's shit tier. Get it right.
