This is about the forum's rules. I've written them for the past year and a half (or thereabouts), and while I do give updated rules to the other moderators to look over and critique, I want to know if you guys have any questions or concerns about the current rules. Are there any you think are out-dated, redundant, poorly-worded? Are you unclear about how the warning/banning system works?

EDIT: This thread may also be used to suggest/comment upon/criticize anything else forum-related!

Please keep discussion in this thread fairly on-topic.

This thread's purpose is two-fold because I am also admittedly incredibly tired of seeing the same fifteen threads on the front page. That's the problem with general threads, but c'est la vie.

We discussed it in the skype chat a while back, but "Frame-breaking images" is very ambiguous as whether or not the frame breaks is dependent on the resolution you are using. What breaks the frame for one person might not break the frame for another.

It might be good to change it to frame-breaking on a 720p screen, which is a pretty standard minimum nowadays.

Actually nah it's better to do away with "frame-breaking" and set a pixel limit.

Would you rather the pixel limit be based off the max a generic laptop can handle, or a widescreen monitor?

That's the perfect width for my monitor, personally. If I'm on a mobile device I expect to have to scroll to the side, but on my usual desktop the image princess brothel just posted is exactly right-- maybe a few pixels wider would be fine, even.

But I'm not really nitpicky about images that break the frames on my monitor, either, personally, partly because I have one of the old square flat screens and not a modern widescreen so understand that I'm like, a superminority basically.

EDIT: Wop the previous image was edited, now it breaks my frames by a little bit-- short after the end of the white portion. Again, not picky, just saying.

Yeah, the first image was small for me while the current one fits perfectly, but I do have a widescreen for my laptop.

The current image is 1000p wide, I had my resolution set to 1280x720 and made my avatar 200p wide (The maximum) and it broke the frame, however the full image was still displayed so you don't actually need to scroll or anything.

1000 pixels wide is a comfortable width limit for all monitors, if for some reason the width of your monitor is <1280 I suggest you get a new one.

Oh yeah, suggestions like this are fine. I'll edit the first post to make it more forum-general. Also, I'm for moving the threads, just waiting for feedback from the other proletariats before doing anything.

gotta agree with the general threads. Especially "General Game Gabbin" in Videogames. "All Topics Unimportant Enough to Create a Thread For" is ok.
Most of these threads have been around since bear police said he'd sticky the most popular thread or something like that.
