I have honestly no idea what you're trying to say here. What do fanbases have to do with anything?

They're a part of the franchise, whether you like them or not. Before Watchmen can easily be called a glorified fanfic with "official" backing. But even not going that far, the fanbase existing shouldn't diminish how much you like a series. Nor should the spinoffs/prequels/sequels/whatever.

Shitty fanfics don't diminish my appreciation for the existing work, but that doesn't mean it was a good idea to write them. If something is better when you ignore parts of it, obviously that stuff shouldn't have been made in the first place. Now, we're of course dealing with subjective quality here, but it should be pretty clear that Watchmen works perfectly as a self contained story. Perhaps the best analogy is George Lucas going back and changing the Star Wars movies. He as the author actually is the sole person who even has the right to do so, but he's still an idiot for messing with details that were fine as they were. Now imagine if Disney went back and started messing with the originals, against Lucas' express opinion. Also, a publisher should know better than a fanbase.

But it's the fanbase that admonishes a publisher for making decisions like Before Watchmen...

bit hypocritical there.

Anyways, ultimately, I think it comes down to being a subjective thing. Some people are looking forward to what Disney will do without Lucas being involved, even though Disney's almost the same thing as DC by taking the creator out of the picture for a franchise. And of course, some people won't. The same applies to Before Watchmen, but the difference is, fans can cling to Moore's opinion because he happens to agree with them. If Moore wanted them to start gutting Watchmen to shoehorn in a few more characters, I'm sure the fanbase would have turned on him in an instant.

It's all preferences. And in this case, using common preferences to leverage a conclusion of "we're right".

You're right in that it's all subjective, but I've yet to see a single argument as to why Watchmen wasn't fine as a self-contained study.

Also, Disney has Lucas' consent and the franchise is already such a cluttered mess that adding to it will change nothing, so the comparison ends there.

People are entitled to their opinions. People are also entitled to make shitty things. Other people can judge them for this, as per their entitled opinion. Therefore, as a publisher it's probably not a good idea to make shitty things.

How?

She is probably the least trustworthy person in the show to leave with children.

In one episode, Shego's evil is removed and replaced with insufferable goodness.
She becomes a teacher, and says "It's a good thing I had my degree in child development to fall back on!"

Also I liked how Monkey Fist was the only character in the show to get killed off. That was nice.

I read Archie vs The Punisher and Superman vs Muhammad Ali. They were legitimately good comics. What.
