Nice video too, looks like the game will use 3D better then Pearl, Diamond and Platinum did.

That's Spring 2010 for both US and Europe, guys! Not only is the game coming notably early compared to previous Japan/US release date differences, but Europe is actually getting it the same time as US this time! Awesome!


For those that care, I probably won't be doing the HG LetsPlay as soon as it comes out. Originally I planned that I'd do it on the US release, but since it'll be in Europe at the same time I may as well play it normally first, then do the LP sometime after. Or I might do it at the same time as playing SS on the DS, depends on what I'm up to when it comes out.

What's up with the Double Battle against Entei and Raikou?

I will be highly disappointed if that isn't a real battle in the updated version.

The CGI animations suggest that the three hamsters will indeed be getting a bigger role, so yes, a double battle against them does look like it'll be part of the game.

I wonder if Suicune will get a separate role from the other two, in reflection of Crystal...

If I was to guess, I'd say it's something along the lines of...

Team Rocket's leader catches two of the dogs. You catch Suicuine, and together free the other two dogs from Team Rocket's leader who uses both of them against you in a double battle. After the fight, the two run away, and you catch them the old fashioned way.

Hm.

I wonder then if you'll have to chose to sacrifice either Entei or Raikou, because as it stands you can't use a Pokeball when two Pokemon are present in a double field battle...

...they might change that though.

It's been AGES since I've played silver so this'll sound retarded - throughout the game you always get attacked by two Rocket mooks at the same time, right? I smell a double battle!
Also, remember that bit when you're infiltrating the hideout and Lance is 'helping' you? Now he actually can! You would either be completely outclassed, or they could give him weaker pokemon, but I think it sounds quite plausible.



THAT would seriously suck, but it raises the question for future games - what if ,for example, Kyogre and Groudon were having a fight. Team 'GOON' walks in and interupts it. The legendaries promptly put their differences aside , eliminate the mooks, and then you walk in. Commence Legendary Double Battle!It could work for most pairings, Palkia and Dialga, Latios and Latias etc.

I don't think the double-battle in the video had any significance. I just think they wanted to show you the COOL OLD POKEMON.

But if I'm wrong totally not complaining. Even though I get frustrated enough going against one legendary.
