Nintendo Land runs at 1080p as far as I know.

That's good to know. However the one game I really want for the Wii U is Pikmin 3 and I heard it runs at 720p. I'd rather buy Scribblenauts Unlimited on Steam.

I wonder if Bayonetta 2 and The Wonderful 101 are being worked on simultaneously or one at a time...

I've never had my enjoyment of a game impacted by whether it ran at 720p or 1080p, I have to admit, so, yeah.

Shoolis, I think they're finishing TW101 first while working on Bayo 2, but they were also doing Metal Gear Rising at the same time, so I dunno how they handle that. They have different teams though

Excellent development pipelines and producers I assume.

AFAIK, Only the ports run 1080p. I know Mario runs 720p, and I believe Nintendo Land does the same.

That being said, it still looks daisies good.

However, I believe, since Pikmin 3 isn't a launch window game, it may end up being 1080p. I know Nintendo said the majority of their first batch of games wouldn't be full HD.

But, even if it's not, it's Pikmin. Even the Gamecube games look fucking gorgeous (the plants!), and I think those ran 480i.

And I knew of some of those shortcuts, especially Area 7. I was so pop flyin' to discover I could just skip all of that bullshit.

Yeah I would buy it regardless, but it would be nice if it was 1080p. I have been waiting eight years for Pikmin 3 and I am definitely going to purchase it.

So my parents agreed to go half-and-half on the Wii U, on the condition that I can't actually play it until Christmas.

We just set up our WiiU at our house. We even imported all our old Miis and Wii data onto there. It's nice to see Nintendo put so much effort into everything they do. They had Pikmin carrying the memory files! Nintendo Land is super beautiful too. I couldn't stop swishing the camera around! The rainbow had a literal bow, hurr. I wish I had more time to play!

Wii U has gotten a second update. This one deals with stability and patching the first update, so no TVii for Americans yet.

The update can take about an hour or longer, depending on connection speed and should stop the freezing. If freezing continues however, delete your online connections in settings and redo it. That's apparently a way to fix it.

Curiously, this update comes right before a Nintendo Direct, and the 3DS also got an update on the same day for stability/flash cart blocking.

So in less than half an hour, we should hear game announcements for 2013 3DS and Wii U games, for Japan, which will give us an indication on what's on the way in Europe, Australia, and North America.

Also, Nintendoland is the first game community on Miiverse to get 100,000 comments/threads.

I wish they added a way to access my Miiverse account from a PC so I could see which people yeah'd my comments or replied to them.

I think Nintendo said it'd happen later on.

Finally got my Wii U. At the moment, I only played New Super Mario Bros U on it, but I think I'll give the packed in Nintendoland a shot tomorrow.

Do those baby Yoshis ever grow up? I've been stuffing one of the red Yoshis with enemies, but with no result. :(

Nope. Baby Yoshis remain babies in this game. It's a bit odd, but I guess it's because these are actual baby Yoshis rather than Yoshis trapped in Eggs/blocks by Bowser.
