While we're at it, Carl Sagan wasn't an atheist either.

Also, Neil deGrasse is closer to being agnostic rather than atheist although he does not really want to be called either.

Yeah, I initially assumed it was about Science but then realized that some famous dudes and such weren't there, so I cross-referenced and figured it must be Atheists.

Which is stupid, seeing as most of those people aren't actually atheists.

I figured the theme was more along the lines of rad science folk though there are people there who aren't scientists like Penn, Carlin and Nietzsche.
The only full-blown atheists are Penn, Dawkins and Carlin, as far as I know. Most of them are more or less agnostic.
We may be overanalyzing it a bit.
The only ones whose face can be seen and I don't recognize are the dude on the far left and the frontmost one.

I haven't really looked at it very long and I admit I don't really recognize most of them.
