I think I'm with Burnt on this.
I have reasons, but quite simply I didn't enjoy the first season. So I have no interest in the second season. I have no obligation to watch the next one in the hopes it gets better.

Yeah now that they have more time and episodes to do what they want, there is no reason to watch it. It can't possibly be better than the first cramped season where they only had limited episodes to work with, which is a big reason it was flawed.

Makes sense.

At least give it a shot people, shit.

Did they honestly not look at the Internet and the massive amount of fans that the first series had and then say to themselves "Man, guys, I don't think this series is going to survive past twelve episodes"?

I think they just wanted to make a leaner story.

Oh, in other news, Grey DeLisle (Azula VA) hinted she was doing voicework for Korra recently.

I've been wondering if Aang DeBent her for her own, and others', safety after her breakdown.

My point is the first season made me not give a shit. I have no shits to give. None. I used up all my shits getting annoyed with the first season. I have expended my shit supply.

I'd give you some of my shits, but I don't give free shits to people who waste all of their shits on stupid things.

Like children's cartoons.

Guess you'll have to find a way to survive the winter shitless.

I don't think that would be necessary. Azula was a good bender but she wasn't really all that special in any other regard. Ozai needed his bending taken so he'd lose his claim as the Fire Lord (presumably there's a clause in the Royal Law which states this), and Yakone got his taken because even if he was restrained and locked up he could still hurt people. Aang isn't the kind of guy to steal bending willy-nilly.

She was considered a prodigy. Capable of Lightning Bending, Blue Fire, and Fire Breathing. You'd have to clip her nails to keep her from assaulting somebody, she uses them in a fight. You'd have to keep her away from anything that can be made into a weapon, she knows how to throw knives. And Aang could probably reverse it once she calmed down. She's also an escape artist. Would it be responsible to allow a trained assassin to live with such power?

It would be responsible to let a SMART trained assassin live with such power. Azula may have been sadistic and bloodthirsty, but she was also very intelligent, and she also liked keeping her bending. If she's aware of the fact that Aang can de-bend whoever he pleases and is allied with the leaders of four different countries, she's going to keep her hands and her fire to herself.

I guess it's a matter of what state she was in after the fight had left her. The creators mentioned her getting help for her mental state, which makes me wonder how stable she is.

Aang actually IS the kind of guy to take power from a threat. He did it with Yakone, not hesitating in the slightest. Yakone was a much, much, much much much much MUCH lesser threat than Azula.

A guy that can bend the fluids inside of people with his mind that rivals a fully-realized Avatar in level of power is less dangerous than a girl who couldn't even break out of chains that her brother put her in?

This girl took down the Earth Kingdom basically single-handedly, outfought Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, and Zuko, continued to be a master fighter even without bending, and WOULD have killed both Katara and Zuko had Katara not been crafty with waterbending.

Yakone could blood-bend with his mind, and uh... well not much else. Once Aang found out for sho' who he was, that was it. Sure he got bloodbent but like so what? Bloodbending does not discriminate. Aang being the avatar had nothing to do with it, until of course the avatar state broke him out.

So lets compare.

Yakone was kinda evil and a master bloodbender.

Azula took down an entire kingdom, fought off five main characters, is already a master at martial arts, and was basically the best fire-bender next to Iroh and Ozai.

Shit, I'll bet they took her bending, then encased her in stone miles underground.
