The problem is that, from what I've played, weapons don't spawn often enough or they spawn randomly. The times of knowing when and where the rocket launcher is going to spawn and strategizing accordingly are seemingly gone.

I don't mind that. I just like to run and gun, pick up weapons and have some crazy random fun.

But it takes so much of what makes Halo into Halo out of the game. For example, playing King of the Hill on Ragnarok, there are two Sniper Rifles and Rail Guns that spawn in similar locations on each side of the map. Those weapons spawns are fixed, I've seen them spawn int he same spot in multiple KOTH matches. But that's it, they never respawn again; I checked back at the spawn points five minutes later and they never respawned. So if you have to take out a Banshee or God forbid a Mantis (Which seems to never respawn for either team, which is lame.), you'd better hope you have enough ammo and Grenades, be really good at hijacking vehicles, or pray that a rocket launcher spawns somewhere on the map and the enemy doesn't get it first. So now can you see why the current weapon system is bad?

One of the Daily Challenges today is "Exterminate! Exterminate!" (Kill each member of the enemy team at least once in a match).

As well it's had earning helmets and armor since Halo 3.
