i'm not sure how much longer I can actually wait for the game. Dominion and Spartan Ops just look so badass....

I haven't watched anything about the game except for the first 'episode' of that promo on youtube? With like the soldier guy who sucks at being a soldier or something.

Reassure me this game will be worth waiting until Christmas for? Don't wanna get hyped on my own because that always goes too far.

The gameplay looks really good judging from multiplayer footage. Also, the promo you're talking about is Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. It's actually a pseudo prequel to Halo 4. The second ep is out right now and the preview for this week's ep shows an Elite rocking an energy sword.

When I saw this game at E3 I was like "Oh no they gave Halo to some idiot company and now they've call of duty'd it too much"
Then I saw the Mechs and was like"Now they've made the gameplay too one sided"
Then I saw the remake for Valhalla and now I'm like"Where can I get the legendary edition"

I don't know. I've bought/got 2, 3, ODST and Reach all on release day/week and I'm not really feeling it for 4.

If I decided to buy it, I'd have to buy it soon after launch since my Live sub ends in February and I don't have plans of continuing it. It's not that I don't think it'll be a good game but I feel like I've kinda moved on from dedicating time to console shooters. Plus my friend has it preordered and I could play it with him before I make any decisions.
One thing that I know has moved me away from the game is how terribly it has been marketed. Pretty much everything they've done to promote the game has felt like a desperate attempt to make CoD kids buy this instead of BLOPS 2. See my rant about the multiplayer trailer a few pages back.
