What exactly is so great about it?

It just seems to have a decent amount of damage, nothing more.

my only problem with this build is to be any sort of effective i have to stay squarely within bloodshed and i'll only have enough skill points to fill out c0unter strike at the very end.

but that's such a minor point i don't even care do you care i don't care

I have B0re and Death Mark. Now, time to reach Death Bl0ss0m. And then, I'll put some of my last points in Vel0city.

So, me and a friend did The Warrior last night. Both of us at level 33 so he was piss easy.

The first time he slammed me into the air, I was like heading into the lava, so I cloaked and dashed at him, hit him in the head.
A solid chunk of his health completely disappeared.

I wasn't able to melee him a whole lot because, like Bunk3r, I tended to just go right THROUGH him unless I hit a critical spot. I kept trying but I died to lava a few times.

Then he had just like an eighth of health left, my friend shot open his chest, and I landed an Executi0n on him.

He dropped like a pussy.

Yeah, I was not exactly pleased with this DLC. Lots of bugs I've found (like a chest being surrounded by an invisible wall you can open, but not get the items out of, one of many) general freeze ups every few minutes (daisies near launched me past big baddy at the end of the storyline), and the only decent new item I found was a Jacobs that actually had an elemental effect on it. They could have done better. I was kind of disappointed by Gearbox, who's done so well before.

From what I've heard, this DLC wasn't actually made by Gearbox, but another company.

There's also the two new raid bosses, both of which have their fair share of bugs. Both of them have an AoE attack that damages you not only outside of their respective arenas, but halfway across the map from where they are fought. Take into addition that Hyperius' AoE is a shockwave that is unavoidable. Master Gee's arena is filled with unreachable areas where loot can fall. Let's not forget the shitty lock-out system and lackluster drops. It costs 50 to 120 seraph crystals for one of the new items, Hyperius drops anywhere from 5 to 19 a day. Master Gee does not drop any at the moment, but this might just be a bug. The seraph weapons are generally considered to be below legendaries right now, but I've read that they level up upon killing stuff? I'm not really sure, the relic is a straight upgrade to the Blood of Terra though, so that's not bad.

Aside from that, the DLC was fun to play through story-wise. It is also good to know that I wasn't alone in having moments where the game would skip.

It feels like a turd from another company. It's almost worse than the boss battles from Deus Ex: HR. And yeah, I can attest to everything that Escargotage said. I got all the Terra drops except the weapons, and their still a LOT better (except for a relic I saw in the shop). I really hope Gearbox doesn't use that same DLC maker again. I am disappoint. And that is the first time I have ever used that phrase, and I mean it. I know their busy with the aliens game but come on, if you're going to outsource part of your game, do it with a good company, like Valve >.>. I'd make a video detailing all the bugs I found, but I don't have a movie length allotment on my youtube channel. It's that bad :S.

P.S.

I got distracted by Escar's post, but I just ran it with a friend that's running 2 GTX 690's, 16 gigs of ram, i7 overclocked to 4.2 ghz, and he still gets that stutter/lock up lag that's happening to me. Did they even bother testing this?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates this DLC.
The boats shit, the locals are kinda boring, and Dig Baddy is stupidly hard. I can't get it to open it's big stupid mouth and shoot the blue thing in there. I honestly can't beat it, and all the guides for the boss are just using some amazing super weapon that killed it in two seconds.
I do like the story, the enemies, the characters, and I love Captain Scarlett.

The next 3 DLC better be good.

The Bid Gaddy is no real problem for me, and I don't use my conference call against him. I use Maggie's Pistol and The Bee and drop it fairly quickly. He isn't terribly hard, just be a bit patient. I'd tell you how to get him to go AHHHH but that'd be an entire posts worth of spoilers:P.

Oh, another thing that bugged me about this DLC was the complete lack of closure with Captain Scarlett. You defeat her and Roscoe and then you don't see her again at all, not even in a post-credits scene. My friend mentioned that they might bring her back as a recurring antagonist in the future DLC, which could work.
