Why does dubstep sound exponentially better the drunker you get?

That's not the question. The question is why does it get better?

I think dubstep is terrible as just listen-to music, but may be perfect if it were used as video game music.

EDIT: I know that other genrea music is great for vidja, and many vidja music is great to listen to.

I bought the new Black Keys album the other day. Well, it's not that new anymore considering they already have 4 singles out from it, but it's new to me. I really enjoy it, it's a lot more upbeat than their other stuff, but still has some good lyrics and melodies too.

I've always been iffy about Three Days Grace. Only a few of their songs really grab me, and their fanbase is unbearable.

But this new album sounds much more mature than their previous ones. Reading some of the reviews, it seems I'm not the only one that thinks so. I might check it out later.

I'm always worried when trying out new albums by electronic bands I listen to. So many have succumbed to the dubstep train.
