No, I didn't forget about this, I swear.
I just haven't had the time to upload the pictures and make witty (read: completely stupid things I find funny) comments about them.BUT ANYWAYS, LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT LAST WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY (with some other assorted pictures).
Tuesday was rough, so I didn't get up on Wednesday until about 2pm. Got a text from my friend Axel confirming that we were meeting that night for movie time.
Well, time for lunch. Some shit happens and I realized my 3DS didn't have much of a battery, and I forgot to take some pictures before it died, like of me getting gas and stuff before I headed over to my friend's place for movies.
But I did get a picture of my bro Austin's sweet crib.We ended up watching Howl's moving castle (to which Austin wat'ed the entire time because he isn't used to dem Animes), and Austin's roommates joined in. We enjoyed Zebra cakes and popcorn, and afterwards played some Pokemon cards.
Ended up getting home around 11:30, got some food, and went to sleep.
Woke up late on Thursday (8:45) and had to rush out of the house without food, so I didn't take many pictures. I ended up getting to Physics on time (9:30) but didn't dare take any pictures at the time because of his weirdness about that shit. Class ended up getting out late because he decided to try solving a problem with 2 minutes left, it got complicated, and after being in class 5 minutes past when we should have, he said "screw it" and let us free. I had 5 minutes to haul my booty across campus (about a 15-20 minute walk, or a 10 minute decent run), so WHOOPS, no pictures.
I got to my next class a little late (11:10) and sat in the back. There wasn't much interesting to get pictures of, plus I didn't have the nerve. I was fucking starving and ready to pass out during class. I needed food.
Got out of class early, headed for Taco Bell nearby (but ended up taking a back way because of all of the construction. Probably should have just gone to someplace else, but fuck it). Grabbed some lunch, and then headed back to campus to eat it in
my new favorite spot. The place is gorgeous, built behind the main quad of the university with tons of grassy places and benches. Soon
the fountain will be running and it'll be wonderful. It's also a shortcut, and since most people don't walk it, it's fairly low traffic. I walk through here about 6 times on my average Tuesday/Thursday.
So,
lunch (also, my hat). I just get the chicken burritos.
Omnomnom.Time to throw my trash away. (Maybe more people than I thought passed through here... but it's not crowded).
A shot of my university. The building behind the white tower is where my last class (Ecology) was.
Now that I have 3 hours to burn, let's do some sight seeing. (I got so many awkward looks. I think everyone thought I was some dumbass freshman taking pictures of everything, or a creeper wanting to blow shit up).
The side of the English building. It's a nice mural, but fuck if I know what it's supposed to be. I once asked a professor and got a long booty analysis of it. Since he is an English professor, I was inclined to believe he was making it up on the spot.
A statue of Lyndon Baines Johnson, our most notable alumni from my college. There's a shitload of streets and buildings named after him all around the city.
Old Main. This is the original building of our college from over 100 years ago when it was just a one building teaching college. Now it's mainly a historical building. Apparently there's ghost stories surrounding it, but most of them are full of shit and made to scare freshmen.
Man, I'm thirsty. Time to go buy some water.
Oh, here's one of our convenience stores. They didn't have water, so I'll have to cross the campus to go pick up the next cheapest place for water (because I'm not paying $3 for half a liter). However, I did
pick up some things for later.
Time to go to the LBJ building (told you). I forgot to snap a picture of it because crowds of people.
I bought
my water (no girl in top left, I was not taking a picture of your booty, FFFFFF) from Paws market (they really love these puns), so now I'm getting hydrated from all of those HILLS.
Time to veg out the best way I know how. While I was in there, it began to rain.
Welp. Good thing I brought an umbrella today. Not pictured: me making my way through the rain going downhill. It was a WATER SLIDE OF PURE "FUN".
Life Science's Calculus. AKA, I need to be babysat by a math teacher class. At this point, I needed sugar, so I consumed the coke and mentos. I even put a few mentos into the coke quietly for some fun with fizzing. No one even knew. I am the best at class, it is me.
Meeting Axel to help out with the first night of Tabletop organization, but first I need to move my car closer to campus. Luckily, it is not raining anymore.
Unfortunately, I got on the wrong bus, which I don't know how because I swore this was the right loop I needed and suddenly it's going the opposite direction. Oh, and it's kinda raining again. This sucks.
The bus took me to the river where I got off and waited for the right bus to make it there. It got there faster than expected, I got to my car (a bit wet), and parked in the closer parking lot. I then went back to where my ecology class was and ate lunch at the first floor now that it wasn't busy.
Not pictured: me consuming the best chicken (so spicy, the SALSA cooled my mouth down) and rice burrito ever (I would have eaten something else so I wouldn't eat the same thing twice, but most other places were shutting down, and I didn't want to be "that guy").
Time to head back to LBJ for the meeting. In the distance, that's the same place where I ate lunch and took the picture of my ecology building before. On the way I took more pictures of
The 7 story tall library built into a hill, and the new
psychology building. Fun fact: the arch has latin words on it, mainly "virtues" (vanitas, veritas, humanitas, Vegetas) and other bullshit to make the building seem regal and special enough for the psychology professors.
The LBJ building. and a
picture of the quad from the library.
Not pictured: Me at the meeting helping with the stuff for tabletops, leaving around 9pm, dropping peeps off at their places, and heading home to crash late for the third night in a row.
Bonus pictures from yesterday:
A friendly moth outside my car.The beautiful weather. Fucking love days like yesterday. My car, apted named Steve by my brother, after a friend of his he couldn't depend on. Much like that Steve, this Steve likes to pull pranks and be an asshole, breaking down about once a semester for some reason or another.
Anyways, that's my life on those 2 days. Hope you had fun. I'd love to do this again, maybe in October or November or something.
