Except the whip is the shittiest weapon in the game and nobody uses it
(Fromsoft probably did that on purpose, knowing they'd get comparisions to Castlevania, just for being a 3D metroidvania type game)

Well not every game uses the whip. The GBA and DS games didn't use the whip really at all, and those games were phenomenal.

So how much Faith should I have for a Divine weapon to be viable?

You're going to need a divine weapon regardless if you have faith or not.

well thats not technically true. it just makes it easier. if you kill the necromancers they cant raise the skeles anymore

You don't want respawning skellies

You DON'T want that

Btw, anyone know if the DLC fixes Path of the Dragon?

It's kinda useless as it is

erm, i guess you have trouble killing necromancers? i bodaciously go thru it without one and just murder the necros first the skeles unless im purposely running a faith build.

there are so many ways to just kill them without even agroing the skeles. shortcuts to them, poison/normal arrows, knock the skeles down the giant pit, hidden body+fog ring, etc

think outside the box for once guys jeez

First time I cleared Catacombs I had no holy weapon.

I kicked skeletons down pits for like, an hour and a half without dieing and I got every secret.

I concur with Hitman, think outside the box.

Be on my way to my bloodstain near the fourth necromancer at the spiral staircase
Get ganked on by skeletons, they push me off the edge, I fall to a ledge with little health, then a skeleton falls on my head and I fall to the bottom
I wasn't even mad, I felt like applauding

I just switched to zweihanding the zweihander, I was using a +5 battle axe before. This thing is great but I need a little bit more str to be able to one-hit the skeletons with the light two-hand attack.
Also it is so huge that I keep hitting the walls when in narrow spaces.
