Wow that last bot's whole paragraph post was one big link. Just screams "click me!1!" in garbled up bot language.

I have an addon that lets me open multiple links by dragging a box around them, and ti tells me how many there are in the box. Drag a box around, look at the count, remove box.
It was 90 links.

Went and checked on the authentication method we use to determine that people are humans. It's a plain text math problem. I think that turning the math problem into a Captcha image would be a much better idea.

Either use reCaptcha or change the problem to something like "What is Katie's last name?" something that's not math.

If it's always the same question the bots will eventually guess it or someone will just input it.

many moons ago before the forum was updated, THAT was a time to lock registration
back when bots filled the front page of each index with spam threads daily

this is just a couple or so a day that could be solved with some security upgrades, like a captcha registration and such
