It's a shame there aren't many men brave enough/rich enough to dress like that. Men's clothes don't have to be limited but I don't think it's easy for a guy to dress nice and not have all his mates bag him.

If I could afford it I'd go all out neovictorian in my wardrobe. Why's good fashion gotta be so expensive :psyduck:

Just buy yourself bits and pieces at a time. Maybe a nice tailored jacket to start with.
It probably bad to just buy up and entire wardrobe full of clothes at once anyway.
Building up over time also means that the people around you don't question a sudden change in wardrobe.

I am in desperate need of a stylish coat for the summer, but am not entirely sure as where to acquire such a garment.

Depends what you're after, really. If it's for the summer, I'm guessing probably something lighter, not really full length? You might do well with a sports coat type item?

They have a sharp blazer up on J. Peterman at the moment that seems summery enough

I've had good experiences with Studio Suits before, they're pretty cheap for something tailored

If you're looking to drop a bit more dosh then Magnoli's one of the best; Ravis comes highly recommended as well.

Or there's always etsy I guess. A good chunk of my wardrobe were bits and pieces I stumbled across there, as well as Tweedsman Vintage.

Another problem I have with such fine fashion is that things that I prefer tend to be more layered... and I'm a winter person... I could never dress completely the way I want and be comfortably cool in any other season than winter; any others will be just too daisies hot. :psyduck:

Christ... 90s is considered vintage now.

Also, 90's clothing was pretty bland and frumpy if I remember it correctly.

All I remember from 90's clothing was Van's shoes, The Gap, and the beginning of asymmetric shirt designs with shit like large colorful diamonds down the side.

And Pokemon shirts. Pokemon shirts EVERYWHERE. Probably 150 or more of them.

I remember all the boys started wearing over sized clothing and multiple layers of T-shirts and plaid button up shirts followed up by tying a jacket around their waists.

Earlier in the 90s flower prints were kinda popular for girls and short sleeve button up shirts with bold abstract patterns for dudes, before being sporty looking became a thing.

Then both boys and girls were wearing name brand track suits and expensive running shoes and surfer sunglasses. Around then ankle socks became thing.
