Is there one of these that can run this.

Are you dead-set on a laptop? You'll have much better luck with a desktop as far as gaming goes; there isn't really a way to check the performance of laptop videocards that I know of.

I'll say that a few of those should be fine for everything else, but just as a general rule a laptop is going to have a pretty weak video card.

any functional DVD or flash memory drives should be easily salvaged, and if the hard drive is still pretty decent, and you've transferred everything from it that you want, could probably format it and use it for some extra storage

for four years old, the memory is probably outdated, though

There is a lot of "depending on what you already have" getting thrown around. If you could give us the exact makeup of your computer in detail, then we could tell you what is still decent and what isn't.

The CD/DVD drive and hard drive are probably the only ones worth salvaging. Everything else would probably cause bottlenecking. Do post the exact makeup though.

I doubt it. Chances are it'll either be a low amount or a slower speed (ie DDR2 instead of DDR3), both of which will perform much worse than the rest of an up-to-date computer.

Okay, so. Up until yesterday, my internet was fine; decently fast, stable, etc. However, as of yesterday night, the internet had become slow and unstable, as well as having massive lag spikes in games. When I was play TF2 before, I had ping around 40-60 on average, rarely going above 80. Now, though, it stays at an average of 120-180, spiking up to 300+ at times, once even going to 700.

Any suggestions beyond rebooting the modem? The last time I tried it made it worse, so I'd like to try something else before risking it again.

You're probably reaching your bandwidth limit for the month so the company is throttling you

Someone else might be on your connection if it's wireless.

you may have several neighbors making large downloads/ streaming. if they are on the same ISP, it is possible you are on the same outside cable to the network hub

Would a GTX 560 be worth forty dollars up from a 550 ti?
Benchmarks are telling me 560:550ti::3:2, in terms of performance.

I'm willing to drop $150 for it, and it also happens to come with PSE 10 which I could use.
The 550 for $110 seems a much better deal, though.

Thoughts?
