"That's perfectly fine, young lady! I've already gotten it back in about two hours!" Forté replied, receiving another stern look from the girl, "As for your proof, you will have your answer in 3... 2... 1..."
"Hello again, future me!" Past Forté said as he stepped up to the hospital, carrying a comically large fish.
"Sorry, but this is your first time meeting our Past Self," Future Forté responded, "You have yet to go back and talk to myself. What is that fine fish I am carrying?"
"Why, it's a herring! I told ourselves that Simmons had lost her memory, and that only a herring to the head can cure it!"
"Fantastic! You will have to remember to tell that to us, and by 'us' I mean 'yourself'."
"But future me! If we came from the future, wouldn't you know that already, seeing as I have already been told about it twice?"
"That is a good point! Perhaps we forgot? You will have to remember to remind ourselves about that earlier today!"
The two, or one, depending on how you look at it, stopped their, or his, hivemind babbling and turned towards the two companions that were so crucial to the completely-unnecessary-yet-entirely-necessary sequence of past events. They, or 'he', were met with blank expressions. He, or they, couldn't tell if the two were amazed, confused or Irish.
Probably the latter.
[I suggest putting this all in a Google Docs when we finish, so future, or past, generations can see it.]
If one was standing near Jade closely enough, they could hear his brain working overtime to figure this out. They might also perhaps feel the steam coming from his ears. "...again, what?" Jade gave a dead-eyed stare to Galiena before looking at the...two now, strange men.
