"That's perfectly fine, young lady! I've already gotten it back in about two hours!" Forté replied, receiving another stern look from the girl, "As for your proof, you will have your answer in 3... 2... 1..."

"Hello again, future me!" Past Forté said as he stepped up to the hospital, carrying a comically large fish.

"Sorry, but this is your first time meeting our Past Self," Future Forté responded, "You have yet to go back and talk to myself. What is that fine fish I am carrying?"

"Why, it's a herring! I told ourselves that Simmons had lost her memory, and that only a herring to the head can cure it!"

"Fantastic! You will have to remember to tell that to us, and by 'us' I mean 'yourself'."

"But future me! If we came from the future, wouldn't you know that already, seeing as I have already been told about it twice?"

"That is a good point! Perhaps we forgot? You will have to remember to remind ourselves about that earlier today!"

The two, or one, depending on how you look at it, stopped their, or his, hivemind babbling and turned towards the two companions that were so crucial to the completely-unnecessary-yet-entirely-necessary sequence of past events. They, or 'he', were met with blank expressions. He, or they, couldn't tell if the two were amazed, confused or Irish.

Probably the latter.

[I suggest putting this all in a Google Docs when we finish, so future, or past, generations can see it.]

If one was standing near Jade closely enough, they could hear his brain working overtime to figure this out. They might also perhaps feel the steam coming from his ears. "...again, what?" Jade gave a dead-eyed stare to Galiena before looking at the...two now, strange men.

[Many pages ago, Roil fell from the sky into the Dead Lands.]

Roil stood at the top of the chasm and looked out toward... nothing. Was this hell? He figured he probably deserved this. It was just happening so much sooner than he had expected.
A gust formed at his feet, intensified, and propelled him no more than a foot in the air. He still had his flight, and thus, his manipulation of wind. Couldn't be hell then. So where in Pharaoh's grin was he? He shot upward into the air and examined his surroundings. Or what little surroundings there were to behold.

Far in the distance, Roil noted several small, tribal-looking villages. Unable to determine any features besides their miniscule size, he flew toward one at random, hoping to glean more information about where he was.

"It's very simple!" Future Forté replied, "He, and by 'he' I mean 'I', will take you back in time and transport you two to Whisperwind Cave just before 1:00. You will then help me fight and defeat our nemesis, Eloh Mrow. After that, you will, and already did, follow the specific instructions his past self has already given, and will eventually give, you. That moment is now, will be, and has always been cemented into the permanent timeline, as it already is, was and will be."

Seeing those confused and somewhat irritated faces again, Past Forté added, "Afterwards, I will bring you back to the exact location and point of time that you left... give or take a few minutes and meters. In return, you have his assistance, and mine as well, in your future, or perhaps past, endeavours. The collective sum of space-time duplicated instances of Captain Archibald Forté will be at your service!"

"...Why do I have to fight this...Elroh guy?" Jade looked like he was going to drop dead out of exhaustion. His expression looked even more irritated and confused. He had a feeling he couldn't just say no to this guy. But he could try...
"Sorry, buddy, but I've got to go to the cave to pick up my paycheck, then I'm sleeping until tomorrow evening." He took a few steps backwards, away from the seemingly deranged two men.

Galiena's angry scowl indicated that she was in agreement with Jade. "You've done nothing to garner our favor," she said acidly. "And we're both tired. I am not a very patient person when I am tired, are we clear? What does this Mrow person have to do with us? Why is defeating him our job?"

"You will not be fighting him alone!", explained the one version of Forté that usually does the most explaining, "You will have each other and ourselves to help you. Keep in mind that 'ourselves' indicates the past self shared by both selfs that are currently visible to you right now, which means only one self will be able to help you as the self that brings you back will need to remain hidden from the past self's self."

"But that was more than enough self to defeat Mrow!" responded the other version of Forté that usually doesn't do most of the explaining, "There is no deadline as to when you leave, so Myself and I can fulfil his service to you before hand, and by that we mean before you leave and after you have already gone back."

"As for what he has to do with you, the answer is nothing," continued Not Past Forté, "Your involvement is merely a fixed event in time that must happen, no matter how bizarre it may be. It's an event that has simply taken place already, but requires you two to go back and make sure that it does take place!"

"It's a time loop! It's like going back in time to tell yourself how to go back in time!" simplified Not Future Forté, "In hindsight and foresight, it might be and have been a good idea to do that later and earlier," he said to his future self.

"But you did not and will not do that! I have not, nor ever will go back and tell myself not to cause a time-space conundrum that would not happen anyways because we went back in time to tell ourselves not to do it because it didn't happen so you would have no reason to go back and tell me not to do it so you would do it anyways!"

"Enough of this meta-time-space drabble!" commanded Not Not Past Forté, "You still need an answer from those two!"

Jade's irritation finally won out over his confusion. "This guy is craaa-zy..." he muttered to Galiena, still keeping eyes on the two Captains. As absurd as time travel was, though, he couldn't deny that there were two completely identical men jabbering on to each other about some thing that only they, in their supposedly deranged minds would know. "You're not exactly convincing me here, man. The only thing you're instilling me with here is that you need to go to an asylum."

Hel burst the door of the sandwich shop open, where the man in PANK was quite obviously nursing a sandwich. "You!" she said, while pointing at him rather fiercely.

Future Forté and Past Forté, who are collectively both Present Forté, began to realize that they were confusing the two adventurers with their talk of time travel and scrambling of pronouns.

"If it would please you, we can speak again in the morning," One Forté said, damned if I know which one, "Myself and I have a jetpack to retrieve and a woman to slap with a fish before visiting hours are over, so the lot of us can speak to you again tomorrow once you are rested. Does that sound like a plan?"

Finally. That sounded like a much more reasonable expectation to the young man with dark skin. But before he accepted, he looked over at Galiena.
"...Hey Galiena," he asked the woman, "what do you think? Maybe we'll make heads or tails of this..." lunatic, "guy...in the morning. I'm for it, as long as he doesn't come running at me with a knife."

The woman rolled her eyes and shrugged, sighing deeply. "I guess he'll keep asking us until we agree, won't he," she grumbled. "Fine. In the morning. I guess Jade and I will meet up somewhere...not the casino, though. Or what's left of it." Her mouth twitched slightly.

"Yeah..." Jade mumbled. "How about outside my apartment? It's on Cumberich street, the one with the silver-colored plaque outside the building."

TANNER, Front and center the major again, what would he want. Turns out, your old Capitain was out on patrol, and got caught up into some inferno. He's dead now and the General's been asking for you. He's at that Casino place. The one where you let that guy go away.
Sir, yes sir.
Tanner made his way, from the prison, then down the road, noticing some petty thievery being "dealt with" rather severely, He'd intervene, but had pressing matters. The general wasn't one for waiting. Tanner arrived, and made notice of a congregation out front, and that the building was in tatters.
