AWKWARD ZOMBIE

"Someone who wishes to go inside" Hel towered over the man. "Would you be kind enough to let me through?" The guard, finding Hel extremely intimidating despite her manners, let her through, sure that someone bigger could deal with it.

The man in PANK was proving elusive. Clearly that meant he was up to no good, Hel thought.

Eris made a left and down a side street, slowing down as he looked at the various lit-up signs. Streetlights were turning on as the sun vanished, and the nightlife was beginning to come out.

He picked a sandwich shop and went in. After the hero academy, he'd developed somewhat of a taste for what other nobles deemed commoner food. Eris didn't care what they thought. A slice of pizza tasted a hundred times better than dry filet mignon. Costing less was also a bonus.

He soon had a turkey sandwich with the works, and a Sprite because he was feeling nostalgic, and picked out a window seat. He slipped his gloves off, not caring much about who saw the mangled fingers, and began eating.

[I'm probably going to be gone over the weekend, so assume I run off to various other places researching vague obscure arcane concepts and I'll catch up on Monday, probably. If plans happen to change I shall edit this post into something productive. Have a good weekend.]

Galiena and Jade got to the hospital, first seeing the patients were seen to, then waiting for Jade's hand to be fixed up. It took quite a while, due to the influx of emergency room visitors from the fire, and other people from the same incident who were less injured, but there before the two. It was dusk by the time the two got out, and Jade dragged his feet out of the door into the sidewalk, looking plenty exhausted. Using his power like that was draining, and it all crashed into him like a wave.

"Ugh, I'm tired," he moaned, "...ready to go to bed," he added, with a yawn. Even though it was only probably about 9 or something PM. There was something almost on his mind, but he couldn't quite remember what it was. It...

"Oh, crap!" he exclaimed. "One o' clock--the cave--I completely forgot!!" He buried his face in his palms. "Geez..." he muttered. "Whatever. I'll just go tomorrow."

"Cave? What?" Galiena frowned slightly, looking at Jade. "Was there some place you were supposed to be, then?"
He hadn't said anything about an appointment, though she supposed it was none of her business. She wasn't so interested in finding out, either--her head was killing her--but she was too familiar with Jade to be rude and ignore him.

[I had no idea that counted as taking control. I'm really sorry. I feel so stupid.]

((Generally considered bad form in RP's to control people like that Sax. You have to let the owners of those characters respond to you, not force the conversation in one post. They may have their own way of reacting that's completely different from what you do.))

"Yeah, there was a cave out near the city? Some weirdo my boss is, but she has my paycheck there for me. Don't ask why." Jade didn't quite get it himself. "I really /should/ look, just in case some jerk decides to mess with it." He sighed a bit, rubbing his shoulder muscles.

Despite Jade specifically saying 'don't ask why', Galiena couldn't resist butting in with more commentary. "What, you running some kind of drug cartel?" she asked playfully, poking him in the chest. "Going to make a delivery and pick up the payment, hmm? What's your weapon of choice--morphine? Cannabis? Artificial sweetener?"

"No!" Jade protested, mashing his lips together. "No, it's just that...my boss is eccentric. She likes to make us search for our paycheck. Says it builds character or whatever BS." He rolled his eyes a bit, shrugging. "Beats me to know why."

"Ugh." Galiena rolled her eyes, reverting back to her usual no-nonsense attitude. "Whatever. I'm fairly certain you've got every reason to file a grievance with her, in that case. That's your salary she's toying with and if someone steals it, you'll have to cancel it and go through a whole annoying rigamarole." She took one of her dice out of her pocket and started idly tossing it into the air and catching it. "...I'll help you look," she offered. "But only because I can tell you're practically dead on your feet."

"Thanks," Jade said. "Turning into an elf, then a person who turns into a panting furbeast can kind of take a lot out of a person, yeah." They continued walking away from the hospital, slowly making their way to the main street that led to the gates.
"I'm definitely gonna have a talk with her on Tuesday," he added.
