Hel barges into the flaming building like a bull through a china store.

"What in Temporos' golden locks is going on in here?"

"I'd have to agree with you there," Jade mumbled. "At least some people managed to--" he stopped mid-sentence, coughing, and bent over somewhat, wincing.
"...to get out of there." He wished he could have done more. In all honesty, though he wouldn't admit it in present company, he was scared of getting mortally wounded, or having his skin torched off, or of dying. A perfectly reasonable fear, the man thought.

"Anyway," he said, trying to distract himself from the previous imagery, "I take it you're going, then."

"Can we go now?!" Galiena snapped irritably, glaring at the two men. It seemed as if she'd gone back to her usual sharp-tongued self--at least for the most part. "I would rather not have someone die on my shoulders before we can get them to a doctor, thank you very much." She adjusted her grip and turned, swishing her braid, and started walking--or rather, stomping--away.

"Here," Jade said, not waiting for an answer from the man in PANK and shoved the jetpack into his hands. "Make yourself useful and carry this." With that, he took off after Galiena. "Sorry!" he shouted before catching up with her.

Eris looked at the jetpack. "What am I supposed to do with this thing?" He debated tossing it into the raging inferno but instead set it away from the casino next to a house. If someone took it that wasn't his problem. He wasn't about to get in the habit of holding onto things for strange nutjobs. He had to deliver this book anyways.

Eris started walking back to inn, flipping through the book as he went. Soon enough his secret would be safe. He wasn't too sure about what he'd do then, other than reclaiming his family name. He had the potential to rule the world, but that just didn't appeal to him. There were other ways to use his power beneficially without inspiring another order dedicated to eradicating his bloodline.

Upon finding that nobody in Temporos' golden locks knew what was going on, Hel managed to pick up goddamn 50 wounded people and squeeze them through the door. Her cartoonish display of heroics and defiance of logic earned her many a high five from the medics who were just turning up in their ambulances.

After scampering off from the burning building, she noticed the PANK man again. With a oddly familiar looking pack. Hel stalked closer to the man. Except large metal women aren't known for their stalking or sneakiness so it was really more of a stroll. He still didn't trust the man, despite the lack of evidence on her part.

[Hel is now the worst stalker ever I guess]
[I'm sort of interested how a character who influences feelings and emotions interacts with a character who is rather dull to the world.]

Captain Forté sat in the darkening alleyway, his partially fire-resistant uniform slightly charred. "I warped? But that's not possible," he wondered, "The time device is unable to function without fuses... unless..." He looked up to see a figure standing above him and asked, "Who are you?"

"Who am I? I'm CAPTAIN FORTÉ!" responded the man.

"So you must be me from the future!" Past Forté exclaimed, shaking his own hand, "What a wonderful, and possibly universe-ending, encounter!"

"Indeed the pleasure is mine, and by 'mine' I mean 'ours'! Now for business!" Future Forté began, "I, and by 'I' I mean 'you', came back from the future to make sure certain events in the past happen."

"We, and by 'we' I mean 'I', have already done that," Past Forté explained, "We've already gone back to shoot Eloh Mrow in the ancient city and to write the note instructing Jade to meet us at the cave."

"But Jade and Galiena have already been to the hospital. It is now close to 6:00. They have missed the deadline as they have better things to do than to follow a mysterious note." explained Future Forté.

"But they did meet me, and by 'me' I mean 'you', and by 'you' I mean 'us'! You remember it! Surely I must remember it too!"

"Of course you do, and by 'you' I also mean 'you'. The pair did miss the deadline, but they still showed up! Every event I experienced has happened and will still happen!"

"Explain ourselves!"

"I will, because I know that we already did! We remember interacting with Jade and Galiena in the past, correct?"

"Aye, and by 'aye' I mean 'oui'. Jade showed me the note and gave me his address so we could go back and write it."

"But that was not Jade from the past, but rather Jade from the future in the past!

"So I'm saying that I take Jade and Galiena back in time to cement a moment in time that didn't even need to happen in the first place, yet happened anyways because that is the way you remember it?"

"Correct. You help them finish their business and in return they help me fix time!"

"So what do you need to do?"

"You have just taken care of it! Right now we are about to appear in front of them and offer your assistance! All we have to do now is go to the hospital and visit Simmons."

"Right. Thanks!"

"Oh! And before you forget!" Future Forté handed over a large fish to his past self, "Simmons has lost her memorty, so she needs to be slapped with a herring."

"... But how does that-"

"Don't question time travel! Just do it!"

"How do I know all these things?"

"Isn't it obvious? You've just told me! Now if you'll excuse yourself, the time-travelling shenanigans are over and I need to go back."

"Back where?"

"Back... TO THE FUTURE!"

Allen was almost to begin, without Zeph or not, but a strange whirring noise, followed by the puttering of a small engine. He looked up, and where it not for his new bronze helmet, he could have gotten a blade to the eye He unscrolled the partially burnt paper and read what it said.

Okay, so another night of guard duty, and those two are still into there. Fine, I'll wait, but how to distact the other guards.

Eris was a highly trained swordsman. He could sense hostile presences, read an opponent, and move silently without wasted movement. He'd had to identify, shake off, and hunt down silent tails sent by his mother before.

All of that was pretty much pointless when the one following him was the loudest stalker he had ever had. He'd already gotten a surreptitious look at his follower and couldn't fathom why someone in a giant suit of armor was trying to tail him or what they hoped to gain. True he could leave them in the dust probably, but why? As far as anyone who had seen him today knew, he was who he said he was. A minor noble investigating a terrorist organization.

Eris walked into the affluent part of town and towards a pair of guards that began walking towards him. He paid them no mind, he wasn't who they were looking at. In his garb, colorful though it may be, he fit into the environment. Whereas giant knights did not.

"Halt," said the first guard to Hel. "Who are you and what business do you have in the district at this hour?"

[~Sax, your character continues to be the most entertaining]

Zephiur had walked in the same direction for a long time before noticing that the corona of the sun's light was almost behind the horizon. "I wonder how long I've been walking..?" he thought. The city was vast, that much was certain. He shifted his weight a bit and re-shouldered his mechanical arm before continuing to walk in the same direction. After a few more minutes, he noticed another shop's light on in the distance, and someone running out of it. "Wait a second.." he said to himself. "Hey! Can you help me out?" he shouted to the person, whose gender he still hadn't determined. He didn't expect them to stop, though; wouldn't be the first time. He shrugged and started to make his way towards the lit shop.
