Aha I am the opposite of most here, those types of boyshorts are incredibly comfortable. I also own some thongs, and I can honestly say they are not as bad as I thought they would be. I don't wear them often simply because I prefer boyshorts (and I have image issues about my butt so I don't like exposing it), but they're good laundry day underthings.
In regards to the claim "Ugh man, everything for women has to look sexy!" - yeah, it's true, but I
like that. Sexy panties are great! I love putting on underwear that makes me feel sexy and attractive. Feeling sexy makes me feel good about myself. It's a nice boost of self-esteem, even if I'm the only one that's going to be seeing them.
It's not a bad thing to find self-confidence through material things. In regards to underwear and men: Yeah sure, of course I want a guy to like me for who I am, but you can bet your booty I'd want to look sexy and
feel sexy for him.

Actually women's underwear often comes in bulk too, depending on the brand. If you're just looking for regular ol' underwear you go bulk, if you want something fancier/more designed, you look at the tables.
