Post all kind of amazing experiments you know that you can do at your home with basic materials.
I know three from my chemistry classes,
For this one, you take an Egg and Vinegar, and a small bottle. You fill the bottle with Vinegar (enough to completely cover the egg), put the egg there, close the bottle, and leave it like that for 2 days. In the middle of it, the egg will float, then will sink in the next day. After it, you can take the egg, and the shell will be a little elastic, you can even bounce it (from really small heights) and the egg won't open. But take care, I can't assure you it won't accidentaly open.
Video for reference.
Bottled Egg - For this, you take another egg, a match, and a glass flask (with the opening a little large, but not so much so the egg can't pass through it). Just lit the match, put it inside the glass, and quickly put the egg in the neck of the glass, and watch what will happen.
Video for reference. This one is very common, so I think a lot of you already saw this.
Floating soap bubbles - You'll need something that can make bubbles (if you don't have anything, take some metal wire, make a circle with it, make a solution with water with detergent, then use the circle wire to blow the bubbles with the solution), a big glass jar, vinager and sodium bicarbonate. Pour three spoons (depends on your jar size) of the sodium bicarbonate in the big jar, then put some vinager in it. The two will start to react and after it's finished, try to make bubbles inside the jar (but don't blow directly above it). The bubbles will start to float above it.
Video for reference. If you would happen to have frozen CO2, it would
work with it too.
I was with the idea of making this thread for a while, but couldn't find any awesome experiment, so I'll go with these more common.
Also, I don't know if the thread title is right, someone correct me if it isn't.
