Then I realized I'd rather be spending time with my friends doing whatever else I was doing than coming home.

I guess my parents have gotten used to the fact that I always come home late, especially since I went to college.

See, the thing is that I don't have friends to spend time with or whatever and my job released me at o'dark thirty when the event in question happened.

You're now a member of the work force and bringing home the dosh. A responsible young man. Families never feel let down by responsible sons.

@ Bacon: You'll be right. Might not feel very nice at the moment, but now that you've emptied your glass of poison you can fill it to the brim with something better.

(Not sure what ingestible fluid would make a good metaphor for a healthy relationship.)

With comics, even if the story is bad, so long as the art is good the purchase hasn't been wasted.

Yeah, 95% of my literature is comic books, mangas, graphic novels, art books and 'how to draw' books, the other 4.9% is reference books on plants, insects and animals.

I don't actually have any words-only books on my bookshelves, except from a dictionary/thesaurus (the last 0.1%).
