right... and I still need to post my jumbo sized list of the Grappler/Monk idea of mine. (oh jeez)

I'm looking over some base abilities like a fighter's "Charge" and a thief's "Evasion" and keep thinking that some other classes' third & second tiers would do better if they had those attacks. :psyduck: Like if in WoW a combat rogue could tank and use a warrior's charge ability, or a priest using a paladin's bubbles.

Yes or no on the idea of certain classes sharing certain abilities?

At the cost of others. Can't make it too OP. Like, you sacrifice one of your heal spells for the pally bubble, or you don't get stealth for Charge or something.

I should note that with the "spell school elemental charge" system for mages (and ninjas) I was planning on other classes getting stuff like paladin auras/warrior stances/DK presences if they didn't get a cool resource, so I guess having some abilities locked out of being used when under certain effects is what I should do then!

I just had an idea for the light/light warrior class!
Since I didn't give the paladin branch much thought and did a slapdash job & copied WoW pally specs for what the third tier would be, how about the Page class is a healer/ranged caster DPS & weak melee DPS with angelic guardian pets?

So far what I have is:
A guardian angel who wears armor and has a shield to protect you and your companions.
A strong spirit of justice who fights along side you and strikes down enemies.
And a fairy who can scout out ahead and not be detected or can help with healing. Can use a small fear spell. (HEY! LISTEN!)

PLEASE CRITICIZE AND POINT OUT FLAWS OR ANYTHING.



Also I have been wracking my brain trying to decide which combination of dice would be ideal for the Rogue's gambling resource.
I keep thinking about having 8d8 like Vriska has, but the total number of combinations would be 16,777,216!
Having some d6 seems... basic... and d20 feels like too much.

Also I have noticed that the pirate branch does not seem to have much in the way of a resource, so how about "Pieces of Eight" as a form of combo point system?
You could have a total of 8 points on an enemy, but can only cash in on 4 at a time. (I hate how the rogue attacks in WoW were only good if you got a crit on 4CP or just had 5CP)

Pieces of 8 is just a quick & dirty idea and can be scrapped if you guys want.

Page idea sounds good.

For Pirates, Pieces of Eight sounds interesting but I've always seen "Pieces o' Eight" as pirate slang for loot, along with doubloons. Since I can't think of another name we'll roll with it for now. Also, one of the "devastator" attacks has to be called Keelhaul or something similar.
