This is exactly what happens. It's more than likely also the "canon" ending, or the closest to it. Have an Effective Military Rating of 4000+ (not your actual war asset number, the actual strength of the army), and you can have a slightly hard-to-find option to kill the Illusive Man before he forces you to shoot Anderson. Anderson still dies (although from his existing wounds and not so much as from a bullet) but you can take the Destruction ending, and you get a small scene where you see Shepard's body, then hear him wake up.

It's the only ending that allows Shepard to live. The other two kill him outright, but Destruction kills him in the explosion from the thing blowing up, so it's possible to survive under the right conditions.

I'm also hearing rumors about post-campaign DLC for people who can get this ending but I'm taking that with a whole handful of salt.

Yes. If you romance Tali, at some point she tells you she left something for you in your room.

Nah you shouldn't consider that canon, it's nothing but bullshit.

Also what the hell? Did all of my cheddar just vanish? I loaded a save from the monastery where I had 350k, then a save right after it where I was on Thessia and had 0 credits and now I only have like 40k?

Also that blows hard, I don't know what happened, maybe a glitch?
Though I never had an exces of cheddar, I bought the Black Widow, then the Paladin, and just spent the rest on proletariats and upgrades.

Tali's face is just a photoshopped stock photo, plus 'she' looks nothing like someone who's spent 25 years in a contamination suit would look like. There's a fan drawing that I consider to be much closer to what she would actually look like, I should save it when I see it again.
And yeah it was apparently a bug caused by autosaving or something. I had already done a few hours' worth of missions when I noticed it so I can't be assed to reload that save.

Yeah I was a bit dissapointed, to me she looked like Ashley and Miranda. Way too human looking for my tastes.
I mean, with all the interesting looking aliens and what not, to see her was a real dissapointment.
