We will white list a few people who want to help us, but note that we will be doing this at our own discretion. If you are not white listed it does not mean you aren't welcome at the server. It only means you have not been selected for our alpha testing. Beta will allow for more players, but it will still be white listed. When we finally go live, there will be no white list at all.

Donations will be an important part of the new server to keep it running. This means that certain perks will be available only to the members who donate. What these perks may be we have not quite decided yet. They will not be game breaking, but they can give an edge to the players who do donate to keep our server going. Anything from a different coloured name in the chat to abilities or areas that the non-donating players can't access. We will see. Nothing we have said here is set in stone quite yet (apart from shutting down the server) and will be changed as we see fit.

I will not be updating the thread anymore except to answer questions about the new server. As far as I am concerned, the AZ Craft server is dead. At least until someone else starts hosting it (not a very forgiving job, mind you). We will not be helping anyone keeping it running as we had more than enough work doing so ourselves.

I hope you enjoyed the server while I hosted it. If not, well... We already know who didn't. More clarification on that part isn't really needed.

So, who is this "we" you keep speaking of with your new server? You talk like you are multiple people. I am not the most active person, so I may be missing something.

And is this new server just yours, and totally unrelated to AZ?

Pft, Kale the map is there for download so you can still play around on it and keep your structures for yourself. If I was in a better situation, I would rehost the map myself, but since I am still in a hotel and will be for another two months I'm not in a position to do so at this point in time.

I forgot I wanted to say this in case it's not clear for people: this won't be "AZ's Minecraft Server." This is purely Brekk's creation, so what he wants goes. It's similar to if a bunch of AZ users hopped onto a new, random server together - you're just there to play under the admin's rules. I know Noff has an AZ server going on, and he posts about it from time to time in the regular Minecraft thread, I just don't know how large it is.

I only host the latest snapshots and it can only hold 6 people since I am running it from my computer.

It is also not online that much, I only play it with komo, word and my waifu, and whoeverelse hops on.

I should see how many players on at once my computer can handle. I know it can handle 3-4 just fine, and I haven't experienced any lag on it (other than from exploding massive amounts of TNT at once) since it's purchase at Christmas.

If my computer can handle it, I might start hosting a server which I will let some trusted people from the forum play on.

How to tell if I would whitelist you: If you know who I am, there's a good chance I know you too and would let you on my server, but ask anyway. Maybe I'll test the player limit this weekend.
