In other news, I read the first 3 chapters of the Megamix manga online, so now I want to get the actual books. I might show my folks the page on amazon / UDON (my Birthday is coming up~) or wait and try buying it myself anyway after said Birthday. I'd just like to make sure it's volume 1, 2 and 3 that are in English before I do try getting it, as I'm not sure how many there are in total/Japanese. Do you guys know?

I own up to 3 and as far as I know thats all they have. Shame since Vol 3 only covers up to 6. Makes Tomahawk Man a total badass though.

As far as I know, there's three Megamix volumes and three Gigamix volumes. The Gigamix is more of an ongoing story, though, rather than a few shorter stories.

Either way, I'm going to get the three Megamix books as a (late due to shipping) Birthday Present!! yayayayayay I'm so pop flyin' ;w; I can hardly wait~~

Still can't wait for the Megamixes to arrive~ After I've read them all a few times, I might try getting the Gigamixes at some point~~ I get though graphic novels really quickly, but I'm not anticipating the Gigamixes that soon after the Mega, as I'll need to wait for another noteworthy occasion to ask for them as gifts.

In the meantime, I think I'll get 9 as my next game, though after that I'll need to get another card before I can get any of the other games on the Wii Shop. I've seen the first Gameboy game in the 3DS eShop, but I don't have funds on that yet and I don't want to waste a whole new card for one or two things.

The Game Boy games weren't too great, I don't think you should bother. Mega Man's sprite was huge, so there wasn't enough room on the screen for platforming on par with the rest of the series.

The MM games on Game Boy had some cool music/ levels/ bosses but they're clearly inferior to the NES games. They aren't must-play games.

Good news, everyone!

I got Mega Man 9 on Saturday and have been plating it on and off this week. It was harder than I was expecting, but I've unlocked Wily's Castle stages now, I'm just grinding for screws right now. My oreder was Galaxy Man, Magma Man, Hornet Man, Splash Woman, Concrete Man, Jewel Man, Plug Man and Tornado Man. It took a lot of trial and error to do that though. I wanted to go for Jewel Man after Galaxy, but the Miniboss annoyed me too much, so I just did what I could with a buncha E Tanks on Magma Man.

Also, Megamix volumes 2 and 3 arrived in the post today!! ...1 is coming later. As I've read the three chapters of that online before, I couldn't resist reading vol 2 today, but I'm going to see if I can make 3 last a little longer. Still, I'm really pop flyin', they are simply awesome.

Oh yeah the level is harder than the boss in my opinion. The elephants are challenging at first.

Just learn how to avoid stuff at first while still maintaining a good pace. You can't just rush through the levels mindlessly, but slowing down is dangerous because it makes more obstacles spawn.

Yeah more seriously, you can breeze through the first part with the Jewel Satellite (as well as any time there are a bunch of low health enemies around. It's basically the best weapon in the game) but the elephants take some actual timing and skill. Just practice a bit at it/ Concrete Man will go down fast with Laser Trident (or whatever it was called) and it breaks through his concrete blocks so he basically doesn't have a leg to stand on.

I think the reason 9 seems so difficult is because there's a pretty huge difference between some stages. You can breeze through Galaxy Man and Splash Woman without a thought, but then the difficulty on the rest of the bosses is a lot higher. It's not a terribly difficult game, but if you beat Galaxy Woman and Splash Woman it can get pretty imposing when you realize the rest of the bosses are much harder.
