Rice pudding with cinnamon apples

ingredients
3/4th cup of round corned rice
1 liter milk
1 vanilla pod
3 table spoons sugar
3 table spoons powdered sugar
4 apples
3 table spoons butter
1/2 lemon, juiced
1/2 lemon, grated skin
1 tea spoon cinnamon

Cut open the vanilla and scrape off the marrow and mix it with the milk.

Put the sugar in a pot, together with the vanilla milk and let it boil.

Once it boils put in the rice.

Important message from our sponsors: set the heat way down. Or have someone who is constantly stirring it or else the milk burns and your rice will smell bad.
Also you might ruin your pot.
While it boils, peel the apples.

Then cut them into small pieces.
Put your 3 spoons of butter,

powdered sugar,
Image
lemon juice,
Image
and skin

into a pot and let it get warm.
Then add your apples.

Let it cook a bit, then add cinnamon.
Keep it cooking until the apples are soft and the sauce starts getting a bit thick.
When your rice is a nice thick pulp and it didn't burn your pot to hell, pour it into a bowl.

Let it cool off a bit, then mix half of the apples into it.
Let it cool off.
Serve with a spoon of the apple sauce on top.

My mom used to make that a lot when I was a kid... only with a touch of maple syrup.

And it took me a second to understand what you meant by "marrow" from the vanilla pod. I've never heard the word marrow used for non bones in cooking... :/

When I was in elementary school all the kids hated it, and said things like it was made with spider eggs. I DIDN'T CARE, JUST MEANT MORE FOR ME.
