I used to do that as well but one case of spoiled milk kind of ruined the appeal for me :/
Also I don't mind all the cholesterol or fat but apparently the hormones in it can be bad for your acne.

I became pseudo-lactose intolerant for a couple of months due to some stuff going on with my stomach in general (couldn't eat before a certain time, always felt nauseated after eating but always hungry etc) and omg it sucked so bad :< Soymilk just doesn't cut it for me.

I think lactose intolerance (or rather lactose tolerance) is an evolutionary thing, a lot more people of European descent can digest lactose than anyone else, and I think I read an article that hypothesized they developed the ability to digest lactose because they lived in colder regions where they couldn't get very many nutrients, so they adapted the ability to drink milk from their livestock.

Interesting theory, but you gotta wonder whose idea it was to drink cow's/goat's/whatever's milk in the first place

Anyone has the ability to digest lactose on birth since it's in mother's milk and we're mammals. It could be that it's an evolutionary trait to sustain lactase production after that.
