I'd like to warn you all to NOT POST LINKS TO ROM HACKS PUBLICLY. This means posting links to places like SMWcentral is forbidden in this thread. However, be smart. We can't post links publicly.

You CAN freely post video's, screenshots, and of the such. But I'd like you all to use Youtube for video's and not post links to different sites containing a video of the hack.

Theirs also the matter of ROM Hacking itself, you can NOT talk about the ROM hacking process, just the hacks as a game.

Thats all I can say, I checked with Le Great Handsome Oppressor and I'm certain no rules are broken, just remember, No links, no links to videos on other sites other than Youtube, no talking about Hacking ROM's, and have fun.

So basically, we can use this to discuss things like Super Mario World hacks, or Pokemon Hacks, like ShinyGold, or Quartz?

Yep, that's pretty much it. Stuff like Kaizo Mario and all that neat stuff, or Touhoumon.

Oh, that's cool. I remember, maybe like last January, that I had found a Kaizo-ish Pokemon Red ROM. That was pretty challenging. Never beat it.

I've been playing Final Fantasy Tactics 1.3 lately, It has been pretty daisies fun.

It pretty much balances out the game and makes it a lot harder, if you play the insane difficulty, which I am.

Maybe I should record it or something.

I used to do some of this and that's as far as I feel comfortable saying what with the rule on not talking about it.

Never really played any, though. They just don't really appeal to me, usually.

Ive played Touhoumon. :/ Its kind of hard, like what Touhous supposed to be, though mostly I think its because Im stuck in a rut with normal Pokemon and my opponets arent readily discernable what type they are :P

Wait, why can't we link to smwcentral? They only host the patches, not the rom itself

Your gonna have to talk to Great Handsome Oppressor or some other mod for that.

I wonder if Touhou counts, since its mostly a hard to find game unless you pirate it and get english patches for it......

Technically you SHOULD be able to link to SMW central since they DO NOT distribute ROMs, rather files you patch into the ROMs itself

No. I don't want to play the semantics games.
Please re-read the first part of the first post, though.
It says to be smart.

Not all hacks their are IPS files, some are full Roms.

They shouldn't be. They specifically forbid any distribution of ROM files.

Anyway, how is it semantics? It is in no way a ROM and any file downloaded from SMW central doesnt contain the whole or part of any ROM what soever. There's a huge difference.
