It's Artur...no H.

Haha, I was blown away when I realized this.

What the...

Well, I can say that I'm not too surprised since most of the characters seem to have odd names.

I'm 3 chapters into normal difficulty RD and my booty has gotten kicked... repeatedly.
My units just take so much damage. Outside of Sothe...everyone dies in like one attack. I want to use Sothe as little as possible but the game pretty much forces you to Solo with him.

The chapter you get Meg, 4 I think, is a mega-bitch on hard mode. So many tigers...so many.

No! Neimi went to sleep twice in a row from a 24% chance. That's 6 turns inactive from extraordinary accuracy from the enemy.

Thinking of playing Sacred Stones again.
I dunno.
I just didn't like many of the characters in it.
Hated both the lord characters, hated seth.
Basically all the characters besides the recruit ones that turn god tier in the end.
Both archers were gay.
There was no solid assassin unit.
I mean that theif you get in the beginning is better suited for the other class, and Joshua was really supposed to be a swordmaster. There is that other chick, but the assassin class had the same model for a girl assassin so that kinda fucked it up.
Oh yea Franz was cool, he was a boss as a Paladin or Great Knight. L'Arachel can suck my dick for twenty years and die for all I care.
Both the knights you get early with the male lord both suck huge booty.

Eh fuck it, i'm gettin it.

It took me 200 tries, but I finally beat Chapter 3 of RD.

Goddamn this game is going to kick my booty.

EDIT: And it isn't helping that I want to use Meg, haha
RE-EDIT: PFFFT Meg got MVP in Ch. 4, the treasure room with all the Laguz

Pprepromoted units/units seen as bad "because they hog exp" are, believe it or not, good, with some exceptions. Use Volug and Sothe (and later Haar) and have no regrets about it. And units that start out weak but "get better" aren't always going to get better, and are too big a pain in the booty to raise most times. Edward and Leo, both too weak to keep out front? Keep'em in the back. Aran and Nolan, able to actually stay alive and do damage? Use them. Meg? Pfffffthahahahaha, well, it is normal mode, you don't need to be too concerned about who you use, but... pffft.

If someone has a cool skill, don't be afraid to rip it off of them and give it to a better unit. Unlike FE9 skills aren't gone forever when they're removed from someone and can be reassigned. Wrath and Cancel can be used by so many better units than Ed and Leo, and how often do you see Nolan getting into trouble with a skill user? Not that Nolan is a bad unit but early on there really aren't many skill users and later on there are characters who better use Nihil. Speaking of skills, rip Resolve off of Tauroneo asap.

And don't hoard items, you'll get more/better stuff so use what you can while it's hot.

Yeah, this is my first runthrough, so I'm using the strong characters, just to get a feel for what the game is like.

And I would take Resolve off of Touro, but nobody else can take it as it takes 15 capacity, and shove takes 5/15 capacity and you can't remove it. So right now there isn't anything I can really do with it.

And it is so hard not to hoard items. ._.

Regardless if anyone can use it, Tauroneo is leaving until like 20 chapters later, so if you want that resolve off him you need to strip him now. Also, it's description says 20%, but it activates at 50% if what I've heard is right.

And those items want to be used, Chekt. They want to know they were useful enough to be used. Who are you to deny them happiness?

Just got through Part 1. The character balance was horrible. You had God tier characters who were immortal tanks, like the Wolves, Sothe, Tauroneo, Black Knight.

And then you had the shit characters who would die as soon as they got looked at, and couldn't double or kill anything at all.
It sucks, Yo.

I should actually try to finish Radiant Dawn. I just don't like how it's a sequel to PoR, but it just doesn't feel like it in the beginning. Gosh dangit, just give me Ike back already!

I actually kind of liked that about the game

You couldn't just level up one set of characters and plow through the game. You had to think about shit

Well to me it limited the characters you could use and actually limited the strategy. I mean, it isn't hard to pick the only few good characters.

And I like the story of all the unrest after the war. You know, I liked how it didn't let PoR have a perfect happily ever after ending. But the characters in Part 1 are just so...bland. And the story felt rushed and not as real and interesting and fleshed out as PoR's story. For example
When the DLF meet Pelleas, the supposed son of Ashnard......nobody questions this. They're just like "hmmmmmm.....okay!, We'll put you on the throne!" They get around stuff like this, and keep the plot moving quickly because they say that Micaiah can see into the future...but I dunno.

Granted, I can only speak for part 1, because that is all I beat. But it was so bland and uninteresting that I'm having a hard time wanting to play further.

I've been playing FE6. I'm sort of glad that accuracy is worse on everything, actually gives a reason to use something other than axes sometimes. I'm about to enter a secret shop with every stat booster for sale. And I have over 100000 in funds. And silver card. Shopping spree!
