I hate this but I've become used to being touched by doctors in personal places, even if it leaves me irritated and snappy afterwards. But I can at least get it over and done with without feeling embarrassed.

Ugh, I envy you. Part of the reason I haven't gone for a full physical in like, never is because the mere idea of a prostate exam makes me feel completely and utterly violated.

Reminds me when my mom wanted me to go to the GYN when I turned 17 despite the fact that I haven't had sex. The doctor pretty much told me "Nope you're good no exam needed" but ugghhhh the idea when I have to make it a yearly thing just doesn't sound pleasing.

Its bad because I go into a really bad mood afterwards, though I can at least tollorate it since its for my health and stuff.

I still have a problem with people touching me in real life, even though I'm a rather "hands on" with other people.

I guess its kinda weird that I get all squeemish when my best friends touch me but not so when doctors do.

I know what you mean, you kind of need to separate to those two in your mind. I guess it's in the intention. The doctor does it for your benefit, and they're usually so used to it and casual about it that it puts you at ease.

Willow, is this a doctor you've had for a while? I can understand how nerve-racking it must be if it's one you don't really know. I've had the same doctor my whole life so I am very used to her, but yes, getting felt around for breast lumps is always a bit awkward. She does it so fast though and keeps a conversation going to help take your mind off it so it's really not that bad

I just go to a clinic and get whomever they suply, but I have a specific really nice lady gynecologist doctor.
