When you go skinny dipping: Make sure everyone participates. It's not fun when there's a dozen clothed bystanders, with a camera.

At first I wasn't going to skinny dip, but then two of my guy friends were drunk and were like, "FUCK IT, WE'RE DOING IT." So I just went in in my bra and panties, then one of my girl friends was like, "FUCK IT, I'M DOING IT" and stripped down to nothing. Then the other guy we were with didn't want to, so I made an agreement with him that if I took off my clothes he'd have to take off his... and I did.

Then we played Dare or Dare. Full frontal hugs with your drunk, flamboyantly gay guy friend are surprisingly non-awkward even when naked in a jacuzzi. And I got a massage out of it. It was surprisingly mellow and kinda fun.

I think I only enjoyed it because I'm really good friends with the people I did it with, though. Otherwise I get really paranoid when I'm at all unclothed around people. But I just sort of pretend I'm cool with things and nobody seems to care... until somebody points out that my tiddies are disproportionately large - a fact that I had kept well concealed until recently and now EVERYONE knows, apparenty. Curses...

To be honest I'm not really brave, I'm just kind of stupid and easily susceptible to peer pressure. You shouldn't let anyone else's actions or opinions of social norms affect you. I have deep respect for those that maintain their own personal level of integrity despite what they know society and, more often times, what their friends expect of or want from them. Don't be anybody but yourself, but don't let that limit yourself. Just remember that humans are dynamic beings - we are constantly changing and expanding ourselves as the world around us changes.

All cliches aside, I respect everyone's choices - especially regarding such personal matters. Don't think of it as bravery, just recklessness. I'm just experimenting more these days, and I was a pretty open person to begin with, so it's gotta go downhill sometime soon...
