One of the few comics I was still reading religiously (besides Awkward Zombie, Gunshow and Daddy Long Legs) was 1930 Nightmare Theater (this one probably NSFW) which appealed to me in a juvenile way, not normally my type of humor. Unfortunately, the creator killed himself last week, now I don't know what else to start reading. (Oh, and I'm sad. That too. I didn't know him, but I liked him)

Since I, like many people, know nothing about CAD except the miscarriage fiasco, I live in a world where I can assume the entire comic is just miscarriages. Miscarriages everywhere. Thousands. Millions. Who knows! I don't know if I want to dispel that illusion.

Eh, if it was an endless stream of miscarriages it would at least warrant a look now and then. It's just a horribly generic, incredibly uncreative marysue insert comic

I stopped reading it since it was a bit too dark for my tastes but I enjoyed his art.
Friend of mine loved his work and I think her question on his tumblr was the last one he answered.

Didn't know he ended up killing himself. Can't say I'm that surprised with the content of a lot of his stuff but it's sad, certainly. He was a very expressive cartoonist.

I like dark, but a lot of the darkest writers I know are still cheerful people. You could see how unhappy that guy was, even at his funniest.

It usually is. I have considered running a website that posts that just does the CAD rule every day to his comics.
