hey i noticed that there isn't a DDO thread, so i made one to talk to fellow players of this EPIC mmorpg.

so lets discuss some ddo!

I don't play anymore, but it's free-to-play so I could just jump in anytime I feel like it.

There was one, many moons ago. It was fun, but it really sucked for solo play.

We did get a few good groups together, that was fun.

well if u wish to start anew we can group and shit, ive got that lvl 1 paladin sitting around doing nothing (make sure ur on Ghallanda or however the fuck its spelled). Going to be a n00b here since I never learned how to play DnD. I tried to but I couldn't find any friends to play with nor a website that has any rules. I might pick up playing DDO if it is free and I have time.

It's free, and you don't really need any previous experience.

I played the dick out of this game. Level 10 something human Pale Master.

I never played DDO but I did play LOTRO for a bit, and yeah Turbine run games generally really blow singleplayer wise. Even then, unless you know someone else who plays you never really find anyone to play with in game. I might try it out, but if its like LOTRO its prolly gonna be too grindy for my tastes.

Level ups take a long time to get, but you get new stuff five(?) times every level.
And the quests are actually well thought out and made.

i played for a day and had a lot of fun then i logged off and never really got around to logging in again

nowadays i cant do anything with games that use that fucking pandomedia installer so im kinda locked out

Played a human Cleric premium for awhile, got it to 12th level before having to give it up for various reasons. Checked back recently and all the guild members hadn't been on for weeks and I don't remember much of anything about the quest or hotkey layouts...whee.

If people started a group going I might jump in though. It'd probably be fun to pick up again. I think the account still has all its gear and whatnot, so.

I've played it on three separate occasions, never got past ~Level 6. Might be willing to pick it up again after midterms are done.

Reeeeally wish it ran off of Pathfinder rules instead of modified 3.5 though. :I
