Fiction is fiction, as someone already said. Fetishes mean nothing so long as they are kept in the realm of said fiction.

I agree with Madican. Fetishes might be strange/gross/weird, but they're still fiction and as long as they don't leech into real life they're pretty harmless.

Apparently, my dad had the same problem with his mom.

This seems to be a reoccurring pattern with this family.

What annoys me though is the incorrect use of the word pedophilia, when it's used to refer to anyone who's underage, while the term is clearly defined as having sexual urges towards prepubescents. Hebephilia is term for early teens, ephebophilia for late teens.

A friend of mine teased me when I first started dating my (fairly short, athletically built, young-faced, can't grow body hair to save his life and he likes it that way,) boyfriend that I only liked him coz he looks 14. He will be 22 in a month ahah. It stems from her and I being playfully teased about being paedos because our favourite characters in movies/anime/cartoons were always the younger boys.

I also had a friend in hs whose mom was a very attractive 40 something yr old woman and his guy friends would NOT stop mention how hot his mom was to him all the time and it made him very uncomfortable to the point where he actually had to have a talk with them about it. Kind of the opposite way from paedophilia but still, awkward.

Although any kind of fetish is an sich okay, I worry about the mental stability of people with extreme fetishes. It may just be drawn now, but maybe they'll want more after a while? I guess they should do some psychological research before making extreme laws like this.

Also looking at real photos of illegal things (CP, snuff movies) is not okay.

Anyway, psychologically: as far as I know, after porn was allowed in Japan (more or less), rapes decreased by a huge amount.

Slightly different example though, but I get your point. I suggest scientific psychological research to study the correlation between loli porn, paedophilia and its' expression.
