I was gonna get it on steam but I was paranoid about how good the port would be and how well using the keyboard would work for it but eh. At least I got it on PS3, along with the pre-order themes and casino night zone. (really dissapointing. I mean I love me a pinball table, there's no denying that. I just wanted an actual level. oh well, still enjoy it.)

For anyone who's considering buying the PC version, it's actually slightly cheaper if you buy through Green Man Gaming. $28.79 versus $29.99.

man crisis city why are you so bad

the fact that you're surrounded by seaside hill (a tad annoying but beautiful to say the least) and rooftop run (SO GOOD) really doesn't help.

The 2d version of it was actually pretty good, aside from some frustration with being unable to distinguish background frrom foreground.
Nothing in the 3d version stood out to me, so it couldn't have been so bad.

No Vector, you are the computer room.

And then Vector was a computer.

I bought the PC port and it runs like a dream, but my laptop's built for gaming so I'm not really surprised. It did have a minor glitch where it would crash after finishing every level, but a quick Verify Game Cache fixed that 100%.

One issue is that if you minimise and re-open Generations, the brightness will flicker for about 20 minutes until it gets back to normal. Not exactly game breaking but I guess it's a little epileptic.

I wouldn't recommend playing this game with a keyboard! I plugged in my controller specifically to play it, I haven't even tried it with a keyboard but I can't imagine how awful it'd be to play that way :(

yeah, the main reason I didn't even consider getting the PC port is because I didn't even want to try to play that with a keyboard.

also I finally beat the final boss. It isn't all that hard honestly but for some reason it took me forever to figure out how to consistently get rings for some reason. also I wish the super sonic ability you unlock after that was more noticeable, as far as how it benefits, outside of invincibility. Hell I swear it feels like i'm actually going slower sometimes.

Modern sonic can fly when boosting while super, but it consumes the rings twice as fast. The boost is infinite. Classic jumps higher, runs faster, is invincible, etc. Also, modern super sonic is treated as "always boosting", so he crashes through stuff that needs you to boost through. Just wish it were easier to maintain, it feels like they made super sonic tick down faster than it used to. pop flyin' they put it in though!

i'd rather have, you know, actual levels as DLC. If I had my way then there'd be a full stardust speedway and a casino night that wasn't just the table but whatever. also hidden palace zone but that is the definition of a pipe dream.

I'd love to see a remade Angel Island Zone.

Angel Island, Star Light and Casino Night zones for DLC please. at least for classic games.

White Jungle and that windy level from SA1 could return too. Never played too much of the other sonic games to really know what other levels there are :(
