There's another of Tennant, Tate and Barrowman singing about how RTD and Julia didn't and did want to revive the show, respectively, too. And it's hilarious.

WHYYYYYYYY????

WHYYYYYY???
WHY DID YOU WATCH THE SLITHEEN EPISODES!!!!?!?
THEY ARE THE WORST OF ALL 6 SERIES!!!

You will learn to love Eccelston, you may or may not learn to love Jackie and Micky, you will probably never like Rose, and it is natural to hate the Slitheen with a passion.

I hate Rose

I hate Mickey

I hate Jackie

Wait

Are you suggesting that Jackie and Mickey become The Doctor's companions, too?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

No no no..
They shouldn't have been anymore then what they were.
It depends on your definition of companion though. Some consider anyone who traveled on the TARDIS to be a companion. So Mickey and Jackie are companions. I actually enjoyed Jackie. Found her to be funny. Mickey was alright but a bit of whiney bitch. I hate Rose though. Absolutely hate her. So fucking annoying.

On an unrelated note, I think Craig, his wife, and baby Stormageddon need to be the Doctor's companions next season

Craig is such a great character

I hope the Doctor has another male companion or at least a female companion that was like Donna. A bro not some chick trying to get in his pants.

This is why my favorite companion is Donna, forever.

Best case scenario: Amy dies in episode 1. Rory mutates into the new Master. The Eleventh wears a ridiculous new piece of clothing. Competent writing for the rest of the Series.

Worst case scenario: MOAR ADVENTURES WITH AMY POND AND HER SUPER AWESOME BESTEST FIRENDZ N SHIT. OH YA THE DOCTOR LOVES RIVER SONG TEN MOAR TIEMS 2.

... yep.

I understand why people hate Rose. I just don't understand how they can.
She's my second favorite companion, right after Donna. Then it's Amy, then it's Martha. Waaay, WAAAAAAAAY down at the bottom. Martha seems like such an obvious replacement for Rose it becomes a minor plot point.

Moffat needs to not be in charge of all the episodes, he's not subtle at all, and all of them end up amounting to a disappointing mind clusterfuck with Eleven acting silly.
He has the head and writing skill for a few episodes a series at most. Blink was AMAZING. Series six, not so much.

He has the subtlety of a massive golden bear singing showtunes while throwing ice cream sandwiches out of its vagina. Series one had Bad Wolf, mentioned in passing once, but all adding up to a major plot point. Series two had Torchwood, admittedly mentioned more, but it wasn't a thing that could be written, really. Series three had those drums, four had the disappearance of various things mentioned in passing.
Series five had "OH LOOK GAIEZ ITS A CRACK SEE IT SEE IT SEE IT I HOPE YOU SEE IT BECAUSE I'M GONNA FOCUS ON IT FOR 30 SECONDS ALSO HERE RE 6 EPISODES ENTIRELY ABOUT IT"
Six was slightly better, but still "LOOK AT THIS EYEPATCH CHICK, WOW, SO MYSTERIOUS ALSO THESE SLENDERMEN AND OH YEAH REMEMBER THE DOCTOR DIED AT THAT ONE POINT? REMEMBER? 'MEMBER? YOU 'MEMBER!"

And because Amy and Rory's time clusterfuck of a plotline still isn't wrapped up entirely, they're gonna have to be back AGAIN as his companions, for the third year in a row! In a show where even the title character rarely lasts more than 4!

Despite all this ranting, I do love this show to death.

I didn't think the whole crack thing was all in your face about it. It was there but you knew nothing about it. You just knew it was a bad thing and it was showing up all over the place. I thought series 6 was actually worse because it kept shoving the whole River Song is Melody Pond and the flesh and Amy is pregnant thing in our faces the entire season. We get it Moffat you love River. We get it. She is your Mary Sue plot development that you have been building in your mind for decades. But show some daisies restraint. River Song is actually a decent character and is fun. But she is shoved in our face and Moffat is practically screaming "LOVE HER!!!". I really hope she doesn't pop up in nearly every episode of series 7.
