God I hate gym shorts

Every single time, without fail, they'll ride up on my crotch. It's really irritating because I want to run but then my legs are all exposed so I have to either mess with them every 15 seconds throughout my workout or pull them down gangsta-style so they'll stay. And then they'll start slipping downwards so I have to keep pulling them up.

Personally, while I do think rape needs to be taken more seriously in society, I can't commit myself to saying "rape jokes aren't allowed", mostly because once you make a distinction between what material is or isn't acceptable to joke about, based on some definition, it turns into a clusterfuck of societal rules and pressures to wade through. If rape isn't acceptable because it ruins lives and affects many people around the world, then we could also say that jokes about murder, slavery, starvation, discrimination, natural disasters, animal attacks, losing your job, and pretty much any other subject matter that has real life consequences is unacceptable, regardless of the fact that jokes are usually not meant to be taken seriously (I.E. someone may throw their friend into a pit in a video game for fun, but chances are, they're not going to do the same thing IRL unless they're a complete dumbass).

In other news, I'm feeling bound up... I hope I'm not coming down with anything. A lot of my friends have been getting sick and some disease is making its way through the university. It wouldn't be too terribly bad since I don't have any tests for 2 weeks, but I have a lab paper due next Thursday and I still have to finish my test(s) to find out what my unknown is.

Look I'm just going to say what I say at the beginning of my stand up acts

"I'm going to be telling jokes, if they offend you, I don't care. don't come crying to me if you disagree with what I say,it's a joke, if you take jokes seriously, why do you listen?"

I have issues with that statement, but I feel like this is no longer TMI and more taboo.

But really all I was saying is that I don't like rape jokes.

I get that different people find different things amusing, it just really annoys me when I see "rape is hilarious" every time someone uses the word "rape".

Every comedian I have ever heard say that live is horribly unfunny. I try and write jokes that don't go out of their way to be horribly offensive, unless I'm talking about myself. I just don't understand why 7 racist jokes in a row is supposed to be comedy gold.
