Yeah, I managed to get into a match through sheer luck. The gameplay is solid, but I hate the way they have you switch the weaponry in your kit.

That's a battlefield thing, its been like that for as many battlefield games as I have played. I found a 32vs server that works finally, and normally has about 3 or 4 slots open.

What do you think the chances are of a Battlefield 2142 remake with Frostbite 2? They already made 1943 and Bad Company Vietnam, so maybe they'll make Battlefield 2143?

There's also a 2142 Dog-Tag. The chances look pretty high.

So. I'm playing the campaign because I'm an idiot who doesn't play multiplayer until I beat the campaign.

I've had a few cheap deaths. Enemies apparently have x-ray vision. Also, every once in a while I notice the enemy I just shot doesn't even get hurt when I oh so clearly just shot him. Iron sights right on him, shoot, and nothing. And they weren't doing anything scripted, they were just shooting or hiding. Now granted, I've never shot anyone but I always assumed the bullets went where you aimed.

Even better is when your squad members will stand there, shooting endlessly into a pillar because an enemy is behind it, instead of walking around.

So I rented the game from my local video store, super excited, booted it up. Woops an activation code is required for motherfucking multiplayer. Gonna tell the store just to take it off the shelves, because I'm sure not a lot of people are going to rent it just for the campaign.

The gun you get is different depending on whether you get put on the American or Russian team

Okay, that makes sense I guess, so long as they're equal

You have to unlock the attachments for each gun separate from each other

That means your unlocking stuff twice just to get it on both sides

God dammit EA

PC game bitches, activation required for play! beat ya there.
So if you don't buy the game new on consoles you have to pay to play multilayer? If so that's kinda dumb.
