I also saw these boxarts somewhere else. Then I looked in Deviant Art and someone posted those but they said it wasn't theirs.
I just posted it because it may be legitimate.

I can see what looks like holographic foil in the background (similar to the current Platinum boxart (giratina origin forme) - so they could well be legit.

They're supposed to triple as hands, wings and fins - but yeah, I'm used to seeing them being less bulky than that.

They've previously been flatter/more planar - like aerofoils/hydrofoils.

Pokemon biomechanics! YES!

Those boxarts definately aren't real. It doesn't even nearly suit Sugimori's style for a start, the dimensions of the Cockfighting Society are all wrong (Ho-oh is way too tall, Lugia looks like he's been down the gym a few too many times recently), and I'm pretty certain I've seen those fanarts before, not printed to a DS box. Way before HGSS were announced.

EDIT: Page get~

Actually, G/S/C were the first [and only] pokemon games that actually made huge visible changes to the way you played.
-Real Time Clock
-Day-night system
-Berry Picking
-Alternate balls
-inclusion of Steel and Dark types
-Pokemon animations
-alternate gender

1: Of COURSE they were the first! They were the first sequels!
2: I'd hardly say they were the only games to have major differences:
-Competitions and pokeblocks
-Berry planting and more descript effects
-Gender differences
-Propor colour
-3D models
-Internet
-Pokemon natures
-Even more Pokemon
-Pokemon back animations
-Major change in breeding
-More moves
-Stylus
I could go on for some time...

I hope there are no Pokemon Contests in this game.

Yeah, they were balls.

It seemed that whoever got lucky with the timing of the applause won those things. Totally retarded.

Special breeding for hereditary moves actually also comes from G/S/C. Forgot to mention that.

Plasma, while all those things were new to the games, they weren't really all that necessary.
-Some berries are just potions or special heals that could be eaten in battle, useful but doesn't change gameplay or strategy.
-Contests were a fun mini-game but they didn't do much for the series either. They also required too much luck like DnD said.
-Graphics don't count as anything other than something to please the eyes. Same for animations, they're nice. Graphics are going to get an update even if they're totally useless but that's not a major change to the series or any other type of series.
-Gender differences (in sprites) and stylus are both utterly useless.

The only really good thing that came in the future of Pokemon games were Pokemon special abilities and the addition of Moves. Wi-Fi is good too.

But you included them on your list. Taking them out leaves, for G/S/C:
-Day-night system
-Alternate balls
-inclusion of Steel and Dark types
Yeah...

Oh yeah.

It sucked, of course. It had about, what, two proper tunes on it?

Yeah, there was, but it stopped playing whenever you went into a different area. And there was a phone, but it was really only useful for Pokemon swarms.

It also had some programs like "Oak's Chat" and....
I guess that's the only real program...

I do remember that there was weird station that would play in the Ruins of Alph. It was so mysterious that I listened to it with wide eyed curiosity.

EDIT
Phone was also only way you could get the necessary evolution stones without trading.
Also, I hate the Shiny, Dawn, and Dusk Stone. There were already Sun and Moon stones that could be used for evolution, why did they have to make more?
I know it's because those pokemon had already been introduced in the past where these stones were available...but did these pokemon really need evolutions?
I mean Togetic went from a fairy to a plane.
Murkcrow was fine as it was.
Snorunt didn't need a second alternate evolution that resemebled it even less than the first one.
Roselia just got white hair and a masque costume...

Really, a good bulk of the new D/P/PL pokemon were just unneeded evolutions.

Yeah...

Actually, now that you mention, the only thing that both of us have really in common in our lists were the berries. Only difference is that I said apricorns which were used for making balls.

I remember it now - with the Prof. Oak broadcasts and the Unown weird music.

I REMEMBER!

I seem to recall playing different music attracted different Pokemon. I may have that confused with something else though.

My recollection of this game is so bad.

It would be nice to have a Poketch type thing without so many useless apps though (this is a DS game so will have two screens so I imagine there will be a constant Poketch display-type-thing on the bottom screen).

Quiet you! Froslass is awesome! I kinda like Gallade too!

I welcome evolution extensions!

Also, Magnezone is nice.
