AWKWARD ZOMBIE

After playing Left 4 Dead and watching movies like I Am Legend and the two 28 movies, the idea of a Zombie Apocalypse (or things like zombies) has kind of gotten ingrained in my head. The situation seems so real, a virus mutating to a state where it turns people into mindless beings feasting for whatever they want to feast on, be it brains, blood or flesh.

If you turned out to be immune to this virus, what would you do? Would you fight for survival in the cities? Rush for the safety of the forests or other rural locales? Jump into their hordes and die? Hold out as long as you can in your basement talking with people on the internet?

Dead Rising. Always the answer. If the Zombiepocalypse happened, there would be no internet.

Basically, I'd load up with food and pile it into a ride, load up with gas, and motor on down to find if my friends are okay while the internet still barely works. Anyone who is alive, I will be going to meet with, and we will likely get some.

I believe that if there were a zombie apocalypse, Sean of the Dead is actually the closest representation of what would happen.

If I were to survive it, I'd probably hide in some remote, pacific island.

Along with food, shelter, and communication with other survivors, I would require everyone in my group to carry one of these.

Go to rural building that has access to internet. Meet owner. Make friends with owner. Kill owner.


And infect. Just because you're immune to the virus doesn't mean whoever you meet, shake hands with, and generally spread the disease on you to, is as well.

Oh god, I've actually thought this sort of thing out. I live on a hill in a fairly secluded area, so my house is perfect for the RTS approach.

Hmm... I'd think goverment would be able to handle the problem of something like this, I have to wonder though, would it really be okay to kill the "zombies"? It seems like in fiction, it's okay to mow down a bunch of unhuman things because they always try to kill the everyone, but it also seems like the people killing these "unhumans" never really actually find out if the "unhumans" do want to kill them. Would all "zombies" actually want to kill you? Should they be kept alive to be research? How many more "s do I have in stock?

So? If they're not immune, sucks to be them.

My "survival" plan:
1. Find gun. Preferably one that either fires really fast, or just does a lot of damage. (Rifle or shotgun, basically.)
2. Hopefully find lots of ammo to go with it.
3. Keep single pistol handy with one bullet for when shit hits the fan... erm, more so than the fact there's already a zombie apocalypse happening.
4. ???
5. PROFIT!

At the signs of a zombie outbreak, (Say, Class 1 or 2), I would get into contact with my friends about it. I would get the gun from downstairs and talk about our contingency plan to head for shorelines, preferably a dock. easy access to escape via boat if we can secure one, and we have any zombies at a one direction choke point. We would slowly go out for supplies, build up a substantial amount before heading out to an island or something otherwise. IF that doesn't work, I'll head North, following the "frozen zombie" tactic, and find an Urban center to hole up with others. First and foremost is to find my friends, one for back up, and two for sanity and companionship. I will not abide going alone in a Class 5, no one should. This is all following the Solanum zombie.

Guns that do lots of damage sounds more "-48hp" sort of thing.

My second option would be to get 3 other uninfected peepz and fight our way through hordes of zambies towards either a plane, a helicopter, a boat or an ATC.

My neighborhood would be a good place for a zombie outbreak, we have quick access to canoes and can easily escape to another city off the island. As long as the bridges are destroyed, which they probably will, the zombies can't touch this.

And if someone manages to swim across thinking that you have a cure in there and infects the lot of you?

I doubt the boats are unlimited, what if they get taken before you even realise what's going on?

I imagine if an infected person can swim across, he can if all the boats are taken.
