So it looks like the rods that Blazes drop are going to be useful. Also paper is going to become a lot more valuable, it seems.

But I'm rather confused as to why Notch, Mojang, or whoever, is doing this.

Just because he was going to trademark the name doesnt mean he was going to sue Bethesda over it.

But maybe he would have.

He has stated (before Bethesda tried to sue him) that he is a big fan of Elder Scrolls, so Im not so sure he would have done that.

But then again, maybe he would have.

Either way, both parties are dicks.

I think Bethesda is a dick in the hole, companies are usualy dicks *cough*CAPCOMWHYYYYYYY*cough*
And Notch, Mojang, whatever, is just a dick because he/they can be.

I don't think Betheseda is being a dick anymore. Sure, Mojang should be able to name their game scrolls. But they shouldn't receive the trademark they applied for.

As to why Mojang is doing this, your guess is as good as any. Maybe it's due to their inexperience. Maybe they're trying some fishy stuff.
