This is one of the things where you think it's probably gonna be a crappy transition to film, but you're gonna watch it anyways, because, come on, it's WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE.

Then again, it might turn out to be something great.

Well maybe that's because I'm an Eurofag. That would explain
Perhaps.

I have, but I always thought it was rather fameless. I only know very few people around here who know about it, but I liked it.

Well, from the trailer it doesn't look as if it's really modeled closely after the book, but I don't think that'd be possible for a feature film anyway. I suppose a stop-motion short film would suit this book better, but that's just my two cents.

Edit:

So am I. In Germany it's called "Wo die wilden Kerle wohnen". According to Amazon.com, it's "Max et les Maximonstres" in France.

I googled it.

It seems like there was a lot left out in the book that could be put in, so who knows.

Where The Wild Things Are is a 10-sentence-long childrens book. Very famous.

That being said, I have absolutely no interest in a(nother) movie version. Sorry.

I always thought this book was pretty much universally known. Ask anybody here, and they'll know about it.

Like The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

OH GOD, PLEASE TELL ME YOU KNOW ABOUT THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR.

Speaking of which, you do realise that Merlin's going to lock it at the first week of October just to stop anarchy from breaking out, right?

And because locking thread is what Merlin does, right?
