The fourth case in game one made me cry buckets.
No, seriously. I can't remember a time where games actually made me cry.
It seems that JFA is out in Australia, but on the actual cover of the box they call Franziska Fransca, and a Defence Attorney, at that.


The fifth case annoyed me at the start, because I was all, "AUGH. WHERE'S MAYA. NOW THERE'S SOME GIRL WHO'S EVEN MORE ILLEGAL THAT MAYA AUGHH I'M GOING TO BE LOCKED UP IN JAIL AGHHH".

But it is good.

Oh god... game 1 case 5... JAKE MARSHALL. Best secondary character ever.

Well you do get to find a witness guilty by pulling a fast one.

[spoiler]Basically, in the 3rd case you have to defend Maggey Byrde again, and on the 2nd day in court you do so by presenting the victim's ear medicine which is in a small green bottle, saying it was the poison used in his coffee. The witness, Zenitora (translated to Tigre, daisies) blurts out that the poison wasn't in that, it was in a small brown glass container (how does he know that?). So you just lied and the witness confessed because of it. Good job Phoenix Wright.[/spoiler]

I absolutely love this series. Reason 1: they make you think. How many games actually challenge the intellect of the player now a days? Sure, I love to run and gun with the best of them, but when a guy forces you to examine things like evidence time and time again until, oh look, you notice that one little detail to turn the case around. It's such a great feeling. For serious.


BTW, Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations is due here in the US on Oct. 23. Rejoice.

"Game 4 of the series for the DS means new characters and the same old gameplay & fun." That statement applies to both Phoenix Wright and the Boktai series with Lunar Knights being Boktai 4.

I got the 2cd game a while ago. I made me sad to see the price of it at Gamestop....
$15 for a new copy.

Phoenix Wright is one of the best games ever.
