i always see people, when there is an update, playing the previous version of minecraft because they refused to update.

But usually when there's a big update, i don't have the option to refuse it and keep playing the previous version.

What gives?

They most likely have a secondary folder for MC with the older version of it, and play it offline so it wont update.

Depends if you've downloaded a fresh copy since they introduced the new splash screen.
If you downloaded after 1.6, I believe, it asks you if you want to update.

1.8 was leaked if you want to play it, lighting is awesome, and running is nice.

I would play if the fucking login server was up.

Guess people couldn't wait three extra days.

I'm pretty sure he's the coolest developer ever

Or he's putting a few finishing touches on the patch.

Really it's not that big of a deal, it was only delayed by a few days.

I think that since it is still in Beta, anything that he does is fine, its not officially released yet. I don't mind waiting for a few extra days.

how do i leak

Toilet, sit/stand depending on your preference/ability, and then look on the internet and repost information you stole from other places.

This doesn't mean it's 'ready'
this means it's playable and, because Notch is a cool bro, he doesn't mind that it was 'leaked'.


Have you ever heard of bugtesting?
Because it's a thing people like to do before releasing a game/patch/update
