Based on one molecule's freezing and boiling point, which is why the Kelvin scale is the best. There are no negative degrees, just degrees of energy from 0 on up. Only gripe about Kelvin is that it still uses the same degree scale as Celsius for no discernible reason when it could have easily re-evaluated it to be more metric than Celcius.

Uh, explain to me how it could have been made more metric. They made it like that so it's easy to convert, in the vain hope everybody would switch to it. Setting it so that for example 100K=water freezing would have been pointless, as you've pointed out (also, it's dependent on pressure as well, making it even more useless). But we should probably continue this in the science thread or something.

It's helped but I've only been using it for a couple of weeks. I don't even know how long the treatment lasts, but afaik it's a few months and one course should be enough.
