I once tried to start a relationship over the internet, I used too many fancy words to say "Wanna start something with me?", went down to see her, made a bunch of timid and awkward mistakes when meeting new people, and ended up turned down and thoroughly confused as to why the hell I did all of that.

And Firestorm I get that actually. I always used to be really weird about putting forth an exaggerated version of myself with people. Especially people I was interested in. I ended up regretting it every time because half the time it would make me seem really weird and awkward, and if it didn't it just meant that the person was getting to know someone who wasn't really me. In other words I tried way too hard and looked like a ponce.

Always gotta remember to be yourself, and be consistent with people.

I'm getting better at it, I think. I saw this woman today and I just started conversing with her out of the blue and we ended up talking with her for a daisies long time. If she didn't have a ring on her finger, I may have tried to take it further than a delightful conversation. At least I'm getting my foot in the door more instead of being afraid to get it slammed in my face.

And hey man that's good shit. It kinda helps if you don't, you know, regard women as something wholly separate from yourself. They're regular people, but people can sometimes overlook that and get really really afraid of rejection and go from zero to "stammering out of their booty" in under a second.

My advice in this regard, get an item of clothing that makes you feel like the raddest motherfucker in the world. I'm not talking about a five dollar hat from wallmart, I mean go lay down two, three hundred dollars on something. Maybe a pair of boots, maybe a tailored suit, whatever. I guarantee that you will never feel clumsy or awkward again wearing it out.
