@Verom: FOnewms confirmed to have silly hats (check the giant picture of unreleased classes on the next page over.
@Kev: Nope, just regular old TECHs. I'm sure FOcasts won't be that bad... I know I'm gonna play one as my first toon.

And new picture of the HUcast scanned from the recent Famitsu! article, quite the departure from the PSO design. I say make the shoulder armor smaller and you got yourself a deal.

That HUcast looks like something from Z.O.E. or MGS.

Indeed. I like the base HUcast of PSO more, but I'll see what we can come up with in the character creation screen.

If the red android is HUnter class and the grey android is RAnger class, what class is the purple android?

Just a thought.

Hahaha! Well that's kinda breaking the rules.

I wonder if that means RAcast and HUcast will have the ability to learn some magic (like the healing spells) - it really did suck having to use items rather than magic to heal yourself and others as an android in PSO.

EDIT: If I get this I'll probably go for FOcast first time round.

I still think FOcasts is a silly idea, assuming they make them how they did in PSU which were pretty pointless. I hope they'll be keeping traps.

Hahahaha, oh wow.

The Alpha is going on in Japan over the next few days, and I've found a couple videos. Their availability might be a bit spotty, considering they're not supposed to be on Youtube. And remember folks, this is an alpha (even though the first video says it's Beta footage, it's actually Alpha), there's still lots of changes that will be made between now and the Beta and eventually release.

Wow, looks like the monsters suck at actually attacking the player for now.

I don't like how the *cast creation seems to go. You can only pick the overall size of the parts, not the actual proportions? Hope he missed it, or that it gets adder later on. All the *casts would look similar, and that would go against the concept of every player having an 'unique' character.

Definitely not convinced by the new *cast design too. Oh well!

Phantasy Star Online 2 Coming to the PS Vita.
Shared servers with the PC version, you can use your PC characters on the Vita, etc.

New weapons (or I guess you could say old weapons) have been confirmed: the Partisan, the Launcher and Latis (cards). MAGs are returning, along with Photon Blasts that don't seem to pause gameplay.

Photon Blasts that don't pause gameplay? Sounds cool. I wonder if there's still a long casting time and if you're invincible during it.

Blue Burst was my only experience with PSO, which I consider unfortunate because while I had fun, I didn't fully understand what I was doing, and there did not seem to be any comprehensive guides/explanation. Even so, I'm looking forward to PSO2 - the info that's out so far looks pretty appealing.
