Nono, you can still use the other powers against him. They're just ineffective. In fact, I think I beat him by just beating the shit out of him and running away when he did his superpower-thing on easy. ETERNAL SHAME

Am I the only one who's played Prototype and Ninja Gaiden II on normal or above?

I said I played Prototype on Normal and it was during my first play though.

Hell, I've beaten Bayonetta on hard.

Tbh, I just play games on easy because I'm incredibly lazy. I'm not even that bad at gaming, just... lazy.

I started playing Quest 64 again recently, and I have reached the point of rage and discomfort.

Runescape killed MMOs for me... I wasn't exactly comfortable playing MMOs beforehand, but one of my friends insisted I get on Runescpae and play with him. When I finally got on, he had to leave before I got out of the tutorial, so I was kinda on my own. I started a quest for baking a cake for the king, or something like that, and had to travel to three places to get the daisies ingredients, taking forever to figure out where to go. Before I got to the first place, I got killed by some Lv. 70 asshole... so that wasn't good, and I generally avoided people after that. I ended up getting all of the stupid ingredients after about 2 hours on a laggy comp (I was at my grandma's at the time) and got all the way back to the castle to deliver it...

A Lv. 90 asshole killed me.

None of the ingredients were in my bag.

I never went back.

While it's a pretty bad game, yes, pretty much none of that scenario was specific to the structure of runescape at all; almost the exact same thing could happen in any mmo

I've always disliked MMO's that allow your killer to steal everything you own.

Are you serious? There's someone else in the world that had the same problem as me? Holy crap, I'm not the only one!

I've had my fair share of free MMOs which made me want to give up all of the free ones and just think about paid ones.

I still tend to avoid free MMOs because they're dull.

Hence why I haven't gone back to the genre since. :P

I'm not necessarily blaming the game itself, the mechanics and gameplay were intriguing, and I sorta liked that I had to figure stuff out as I went, but the fact that all of that work was ruined in an instant by some asshole that had been playing the game longer than me just killed the genre for me, especially if I had to run around in fear of other players in case one of them decided to ruin my day.

EDIT:

What do you mean "wilderness"? I followed the paths as best I could (walking in fields to avoid some places with lots of players), but I didn't go out into the woods or anything...

If it helps, I played around either 2004 or 2005, so the game may have been different back then... though I hear Runescape is notorious for not changing much...

That giant tank mission on Valkyria Chronicles made me put the game down for a couple months...

I just couldn't figure it out

-disregard this post-

In RS the only place that other players can kill you is called the "wilderness"

it's pretty far north of the starting area and well out of the way of where you need to be to do that quest

it's also p. scary

Well, I got killed right by the castle that I started at by someone with a bow, so IDK if that was a glitch, or I was on a server that didn't have that rule or something...
