I find it hard to understand what you people are saying here.

I mean... when I have a bath or a shower I wash everything equally; The way you people are talking makes it sound like you wash everything except for your face.



Anyway - like I said - when I have a shower or bath I wash everything equally, but during the day I'll splash my face with water just as a refresher.

I bath or shower everyday.

i can't get up in the morning and i feel sick all the time

I'm pretty exact when it comes to hygiene and washing my hands, face, (long) hair and such but still have to use a bazillion acne products just to stop it from getting worse. It was even worse for my dad when he was my age, I can't remember the last time there were no pimples in my face, shoulders, chest and upper back :V
We've been planning on getting antibiotics though, since those are probably the only thing that'll actually help

For guys a lot of acne is hormones, not necessarily anything to do with trapped pores per se. If I remember correctly guys' hormones can still be wacky from puberty even into their 20s thus causing acne that sticks around longer than in girls. unfortunately that means it could take years for it to go away....Keeping your face/back/etc clean is always a good idea though.

Also allergies to soaps/cleaners used could cause it to become worse. I struggled with acne far longer than I should have because I didn't know I was actually allergic to my cleaner. On a whim I changed to an organic soap and it cleared almost instantly. I'd rule that out before going on meds for it; I hear they can be pretty brutal.

Nah I'm pretty positive it has nothing to do with the stuff I use on my skin, has to do with genetics, my dad still has scars from 30 years ago caused by acne

Genetics can be a bitch :< Good luck then! I hope if you do take the meds that you don't end up with any of the crazy side effects D:

Ah well, I can't really hold my face away fro mthe water when I wash my hair so the shower isn't included.

I just don't wash it specifically at any time. I don't really wash my face that much in the shower, I just let water pour down on it, then done.

I had horrible face scaring acne in highschool.

Then I got handsome

hopefully this will happen to me haha, anyways the antibiotics are working and it's like wow only a few more weeks and then clear skin.

I just want my face to clear up forever and I can be a pop flyin' soul

I finished taking Accutane yesterday, so all I have on my face are the PANK blemishes the acne and zits left behind, and those should be gone in about two months.

I've tried a bunch of different things the last past years. I recently finished taking some pills for 2 months without luck. I am seeing a dermotologist(?) in August.

Accutane works wonders, but it seems it's mostly used as a last resort. Most antibiotics and topical medicines just try to cover up acne, but Accutane actually reverses the acne process. After you're done taking it you can still get zits, but not as often and it will never be as bad as before you started taking it. I'd suggest you talk to the dermatologist about it.

Its all about a positive attitude. Look what it does for me.

No really. One I realized I was actually attractive things just kinda fell into place. Less stress meant less breakouts meant less picking meant less scabby scaring.
